No Decaf After Noon, Says Starbucks {Slashfood}

Jan 31st 2009 9:52AM Well, I can confirm that the local starbucks here not only stops decaf afternoon, but at 4, I think they pull out the "waste" from earlier in the day and remix it for anyone that wants drip coffee that late. Or they just brew again with then spent beans (or maybe potting soil).

Needless to say I don't go there in the afternoon any more.

Dean Kamen's "Luke" artificial arm gets demoed on video {Engadget}

Feb 6th 2008 10:31AM JLTate is probably right. Not funny. As long as people low-ranked it for lack of humor and not lack of truth, I can deal.

Jan 12th 2008 11:14AM I'd have never imagined a blog could cover a trade show like you guys just did. I won't say I enjoyed it all (seemed like too many posts, honestly), but I have to give you a big thumbs up for the effort. Take a day off.

How do you sauce your pasta? {Slashfood}

Oct 22nd 2007 11:50AM Not a cook here. Not even Italian. That said, this is good for me: take a can of diced tomatoes. Dump the juice into a pot. Cook down to a sauce with any spices you like. Throw the tomatoes back in there until they heat up and dump onto some firm pasta. Delicious, and it lets you experiment with spices! If you throw some soy sausages into the sauce as it warms, you get a more hearty dish with no more work.

Jan 9th 2007 10:24AM I was looking at the Pepper Pad as something to keep on my couch to use as a web browser when lounging around -- this would be a reasonable replacement for that, and for less money.
