Hands-on with the Magic Mouse {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 3rd 2009 6:19PM Thanks for the feedback, EmptyHouse.
I currently use a Mighty Mouse and there are several things that I've never had work right like the right click and having to clean the little ball several times a week.
I'm anxious to try one out at our Apple Store before I plunk down almost $74 (incl tax).
Apple gives Mac mini a spec bump, adds dual-HDD Mac mini server {Engadget}
Oct 20th 2009 4:34PM A slight bump in the processor range. Personally, and this is not complaining, Apple would sell a lot of minis if the low end model started at $499. That extra $100 can be a deterrent.
I really do want to get another mini. I may have to get one of these.
Apple updates entry-level MacBook {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Oct 20th 2009 1:29PM Even if you don't need it for video, the Firewire port is important for backup and recovery (Firewire Target Mode).
Until Apple figures out a way to have a USB version of Firewire Target Mode, bare bones recovery and backup will be limited.
Borders pulls a B&N, offers free WiFi to all patrons {Engadget}
Oct 1st 2009 12:46AM Wifi in these places should be free. And I think there will be enough people that will buy stuff instead of just hanging around for hours sipping on a tall coffee they brought in from the AM/PM Mini Mart.
Let's just hope that Verizon is more iPhone-friendly than B&N's AT&T sign in page.
Yeah, there's an app for that. But for how long, and at what cost? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jul 30th 2009 2:10PM Adding my "Excellent article" statement here to the mix.
Apple really does need to make some decisions on how to make this process better. You make some really good points in your 6 step outline of the process.
Confusion doesn't make for good business, regardless how many iPhone users and apps have been purchased and downloaded.
Nissan shows off latest electric car prototype with battery monitoring system, iPhone app {Engadget}
Jul 27th 2009 8:21PM While the range is not that of the Tesla, it is getting closer. I'm looking forward to this technology gaining more ground.
I also realize that these vehicles should have already been populating the nation's highways 10 years ago, but at least now we are moving forward.
Review: Sirius XM for iPhone/iPod touch sans Stern {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jun 19th 2009 12:02PM Thanks for the details on Pocket Tunes.
Hope Stern and Co. will allow streaming eventually over this app.
Happy 5th birthday (plus or minus a few months) TUAW! {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Jun 16th 2009 9:02PM Happy Birthday, TUAW. Keep up the great Mac support.
Palm Pre to run $549 off-contract {Engadget}
May 19th 2009 5:59PM I'm not on SERO, but I do have a 6 year old plan that I'd like to keep and be able to be a Pre user. Guess I may have to shell out $550 if I want to do that, unless the Pre really is tied to only newer plans. That would be sad if that were the case.
Palm Pre Classic emulator demoed on video {Engadget}
Apr 3rd 2009 1:01PM Adding another "Yeah!" for this PalmOS emulator app. This is cool to see and hoping that it will work well with the Pre. This may help a lot of us PalmOS users to make the switch.
