Feb 6th 2007 5:15PM it does not have a platform. it runs like the 9900 and 9800. verizon ui. it is a great phone and the hinge is very nice and easy to use and adjust. i played with one at a kickoff event and it was very nice. a lot thinner than i thought it would be
