AT&T to give away 1.5 years of service to iPhone buyers? {Engadget}

Jan 25th 2007 3:43PM Where does it say that they will GIVE service away?

The below predicts that service contracts will be shorter and less expensive.

"provide significant discounts in service:
Now, AT&T's all about market share, and if you read between the lines, I think you see a strategy coming where the device's $500 price point is preserved but the service contract is greatly reduced. I think that AT&T -- and not Apple -- is the key to this next leg, and CEO Stan Sigman can make it happen." iCache emulates credit cards so that you can sleep soundly -- or can you? {Engadget}

Jan 17th 2007 10:47AM Awesome! I hope this is the future of credit card payments? How thick is this, though? It seems useful-- all those stupid grocery store and pharmacy cards get old. But, I'd like something that could store my pharmacy, etc. cards indefintely. That'd rock.

It also appears that it's in demo mode only-- not for sale, or at least not in the USA. You all realize this, right? ;)
