"Why do you think the PRC claims the Tibetans were killing Han Chinese, yet never showed the vicitms in the media"
The US media doesn't want to show Tibetans killing Han chinese, because that would thwart the view in the US that Han people kill Tibetans. In Chinese news, there are pictures and even videos of Tibetans beating Han Chinese and even torturing them. Youtube has many available for viewing. Be aware that many videos showing Han beating Tibetans are not correct, because Han police don't wear those types of uniforms. It is more likely some SE Asian police.
"blocked news reporters from going to the Tibet region to report. BBC and CNN were blocked."
That is because the US media distorts EVERYTHING. For example, since US media doesn't have pictures of Han beating Tibetans, the news companies use pictures of Southeast Asian cops beating Tibetans. I can tell from their uniforms.
"This government regularly blocks news that it considers anti-PRC."
I think almost all media, regardless of country, blocks anti-government material, because it creates a threat to the news company's survival.
Human rights violations are automatically filtered.
Most Chinese agree that there aren't many human rights violations in China. Those that think there are many human rights violations are the criminals. In any country, criminals always complain.

Aug 7th 2008 10:42PM lol the smog there isn't that bad: i have been there.
When i was in LA, i noticed about the same amount of smog. U have to see it from far away to actually SEE it, or u have to try to look for smog. Ur country's media has u confused and brainwashed, man. Stop complaining until you go there and see for yourself.

Dell Studio 17 quickly hacked to run OSx86 {Engadget}
Jul 30th 2008 10:41PM @ ray
do you REALLY think that Apple doesn't want people putting Mac on computers not sold by Apple? hmm... same reason for releasing the source code for Darwin. THEY GET FREE DEVELOPMENT. Also, people seem to enjoy something much more if they work for it. Thus, if Apple uses a hackintosh disk to make their own Mac OS, Mac OS could gain popularity really fast. "grass is always greener on the other side" so when it is practical to install Mac OS on PCs, many people will want to switch because of the possibility to run simultaneously, just like with Parallels Desktop and a Boot Camp partition.
@ everyone else:
why is this on engadget? Its not like this person developed OSX86 and the drivers for the Dell. It was probably made by someone in the OSX86 community, or a modified driver that someone else developed.
I have a home assembled desktop, and none of the parts are listed in the HCL, except for the 8800 GTX. IT IS NOT HARD TO FIND DRIVERS OR TO MODIFY A FEW KEXTS. (there is this thing called google and good search skills). If you think I'm exaggerating, my CPU, mobo, chipset, were all not listed in the HCL. (but I did find similar, although not exact, hardware drivers)
MY POINT IS THAT INSTALLING A STABLE MAC OSX86 MACHINE IS NOT THAT HARD. I DID NOT BUILD MY MACHINE TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH OSX86, BUT IT SCORES HIGHER THAN ANY OF THE REAL MACS I HAVE COME IN CONTACT WITH. THEREFORE, SOMEONE INSTALLING OSX86 ON ANY MACHINE THAT IS PC-BASED IS not NEWS. ANYONE THAT HAS GOOD RESEARCH SKILLS CAN DO IT.
