Cellphone-only households on the rise, landlines crying a river {Engadget Mobile}
May 15th 2008 12:42PM Landlines arent going anywhere VOIP is the new landlines as times change so will the phone how many VOIP phones are there that are actually cell phones and not connected to someones computer. The only differance is that phones will not connect to your router instead of your computer. Home phones that arent radio wave technology will will always be they will just change with the times.

May 15th 2008 12:35PM forgot to mention what percentage of people do not have Landline, VOIP of any type and just rely on cell phones 100 % of the time there arent that many cell phone coverage is good but it some places it just doesnt work and then what do you do until cell coverage covers 95% of the area where citizens reside it will never over take landlines completely.
There always needs to be a second option and not just cell phones, I learned this real quick after we had some bad storms and all power was knocked out to the whole city cell phones dont last that long , no power no voip while landline will still work for a longer time since there power comes from somewhere that isnt affected by what happens in your area or residence; while if your power goes out and your phone is not fully charged it may last you a day or so depending on the phone model.

May 15th 2008 12:22PM Landlines may be dropping but that doesnt means house phones are example: VOIP, Comcast phone service, Skype etc. People still have those you may not have a phone that goes into a phone jack but you still have a house phone.

5 New advertising campaign
6 Put stores in places where you have good coverage, not bad
7 Put stores in busy areas not the middle of nowhere
8 New CEO
9 Change name the Sprint and Nextel names are damaged just go with something new.
