Rejoice, surfers! Bing it up with free WiFi access across the US {Download Squad}

Nov 10th 2009 12:19PM Apologies in advance for perhaps missing something obvious, but I don't understand how this works. I couldn't find an explanation for how this ad campaign works. Wouldn't we need internet access in the first place to make the Bing search? How are we supposed to know which WiFi access points offer this? What is the "limited time" on the Internet that we get per Bing search? Can this be extended? i.e., I make two Bing searches to double my free WiFi access time?

Balsamic Vinegar Facts {Luxist}

Nov 9th 2009 5:09PM That's good to know, thanks for the clarification. However, why is must in quotation marks then? Is it not real must? And perhaps a quick explanation of must in parentheses might be useful for people like me who only know it as a verb or in its primary noun definition.

Balsamic Vinegar Facts {Luxist}

Nov 9th 2009 4:37PM "This vinegar is made from the cooked grape "must" matured"

Grammar check, please.

Skype lives on, reaches settlement with Joltid {Download Squad}

Nov 6th 2009 1:03PM Oh, I just realized, it's probably a typo; "...in the process OF buying Skype..."

Got it. Never mind. =)

Skype lives on, reaches settlement with Joltid {Download Squad}

Nov 6th 2009 1:02PM "Joltid founders Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis will join the investor group that is in the process or buying Skype away from eBay"

Are the Joltid founders wealthy enough to buy Skype from eBay?

Pics Aplenty: Aston Martin Rapide is ready for its close-up {Autoblog}

Nov 3rd 2009 7:33PM @Gruv:
""poor yourself a martini" is another example of how "poor" our public school system is doing."

should read "how poorly our public school system is doing," not "how poor our public school system is doing."

Hands-on with the Magic Mouse {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Nov 3rd 2009 12:28PM "Also, swiping works just like it does on a Multi-Touch trackpad, which can be used for many different things in your favorite applications."

I thought back and forward gestures on the trackpad required three fingers [since two fingers does vertical and horizontal scrolling], while on the Magic Mouse, it requires two fingers?

An illustrated guide to Boot Camp and Windows 7 {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Nov 2nd 2009 6:30PM That's interesting; I haven't yet done a clean install of Windows 7 on a Mac partition, but I have done at least 20 Windows 7 clean installs on PCs, and it always gives me options once I click the "Drive options (advanced)" button. Good to know though; thanks!
