New-for-2010 Mitsubishi Evo MR Touring pricing announced, starts at $40,990 {Autoblog}
Oct 12th 2009 8:29PM For $22k (fire-sale) you can get a 2009 Volkswagen CC. Compare that interior packaging with this.
Then for another $25k I assure you there is a slightly pre-owned pocket-rocket that would satisfy any rice rocket gear-head.
But $47k for an Evo with leather and a sunroof in America ?
No wonder Mitsubishi is one step from FA1L. Back to the keiretsu they go.

Car and Driver drawing flak over Photoshopped BMW X6 M drag racing pic? {Autoblog}
Oct 5th 2009 12:57PM Re: Bad Photoshop job -- is the taillight trail behind the X6M from the X6M ? Doesn't look like it (appears more like a light-colored car).
Quick Spin: Hyundai Equus is a high horse looking for its Praetorian Guard {Autoblog}
Aug 17th 2009 12:19PM I *totally* think that Hyundai ripped off Lexus for the rear. Exhaust pipes? Did they use the same part number? Taillights? More similar than one would think (do a side-by-side 3/4 rear comparison). Even the small rear side windows look like a cross between the GS and LS.
Officially Official: Hyundai Equus coming to America in 2010 {Autoblog}
Aug 13th 2009 7:25AM I think this is a great product, but how will Hyundai DEALERS support this car?
I'm not so into having service done at the same place as poor people rolling in with their Accents and Elantras (or maybe those people never go to the dealer for service).
To the other posters, this isn't exactly like VW. While the Phaeton was a "reach" product, the VW dealers I've worked with have all been professional, tenured, and automobile experts. Hyundai dealers? Not so much.
They need a new channel for this product, otherwise there's no chance in hell I'd buy one (as a point of reference I own an $80k car now).
Review: 2010 Nissan GT-R - Does Godzilla Have A Soul? {Autoblog}
Jul 27th 2009 12:20PM As an owner - of a 2009 model - I appreciate this review.
My car ($72,900) is a venerable bargain compared to the "$86k+" pricetag of a 2010...

Jul 9th 2009 4:11PM Everything (except aformentioned d-pillar) is done right.
Audi will have some stiff competition with their new A8 (whose introduction is, incidentally, delayed until Los Angeles 2009).

I guess GM hasn't learned a damn thing through this stimulus/bailout money and bankruptcy process...
CONFIRMED: 2010 Kia Forte Koup will go on sale late summer {Autoblog}
Jul 9th 2009 3:41PM I have one vote for Kia copying the Jetta Coupe concept that never materialized as a production car.
The Koreans are good at doing one thing - copying others. Samsung [copied] Micron in microprocessors, Hyundai/Kia [copies] basically every bland unoffensive automotive design. The exception (attempts to be unique) have been either ugly (Hyundai Tiburon and first-gen Santa Fe) or complete, utter disasters (see: nearly every SsangYong sport utility).
In Defense of Deadbeat Dads {Asylum}
Jul 8th 2009 1:37PM This is absolutely reprehensible.
As a child of a single-parent home (since my father was [is] a compulsive gambler and self-proclaimed alcoholic), there is absolutely something missing.
And it wasn't the "ever-rotating roster of gentleman" buying cigarettes or leaving porn passwords on computers.
That is against the law, you complete f-ing moron.
If this is supposed to be funny, it is not.
If you think it is funny, I hope you contract AIDS or get hit by a bus - soon.
