Mar 20th 2007 10:47PM When Nextel became the lead sponsor for the "Winston Cup", they put in a clause that NO other telecom could be a car sponsor. Alltel and Cingular were grandfathered. Every wonder why there is no Verizon Cup car? Cingular wants/needs to change its logo and Sprint/Nexthell says that constitutes a "new" sponsor and nulls the grandfathering. Sorry, Nexthell, that's a load of crap..

Jan 26th 2007 12:46PM There are no additional resources with the merger/name change. Cingular/AT&T Mobility is staying very much the same. You need to realize that AT&T was bought by SBC, who owned 60% of Cingular. Nothing has really changed at the top. It's all smoke and mirrors (or rebrand). And no, Moto F'd the V3i, not Cingular.

Jan 10th 2007 4:15PM When they started development (2+ years ago), WCDMA chipsets were not widely available. They went with what was available and worked. There were no UMTS networks at that time. They couldn't hedge on a technology that may or may not be avail at launch.
Newer models will follow.
