Sprint links both its networks for walkie-talkie call {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 25th 2007 3:42PM To the previous two posters... How is the story inaccurate? Where in the story does it say anything about Ready Link or 1xRTT? It clearly says 'Nextel's "Direct Connect" talked to Sprint's upgraded EV-DO revision A network...' This implies Q-Chat, which we all know and agree will run on EV-DO Rev.A.

Treo 755p for Sprint in the wild {Engadget Mobile}

Sprint adding Treo "755p" mid-year? {Engadget Mobile}
Mar 8th 2007 9:33AM In response to #2: I don't think that the Blackjack is necessarily better than the 750... A $200 price difference has a lot to do with that popularity rating, I'd assume. Also, Cingular has agressively advertised the Blackjack on TV, while I've never seen any commercial for a Treo device on TV.
Verizon signed up to get Treo 700wx {Engadget Mobile}
Feb 1st 2007 9:47AM (The 700wx is just an memory upgrade. Why doesn't Verzion just get the treo 750 first before Sprint gets it?
Posted at 9:22AM on Feb 1st 2007 by Treo Cell Phone Fan)
Answer: Because the 750 is a GSM device... I haven't heard anything about a CDMA version being produced. If anyone has, please post something.
Motorola Q officially launches on Sprint, gets reviewed {Engadget Mobile}
Jan 4th 2007 2:27PM 1: It's obvious from the photo that the device has a backlit keyboard... It's just that the dark-colored keys only have the letters on them lit, while the light-colored keys have the entire key lit. 2: For those complaining about the Q not having Sprint TV... No WM5-powered smartphone can support Sprint TV... That's why I copped the Treo 700P instead of the 700WX. Personally, I think WM5 is too complicated when it comes to basic tasks that one would do on any phone, smartphone or otherwise. Palm is much more user-friendly, even though it's kind of bland. However, I'm sure the Q will do very well with Sprint simply because of the lower cost for an unlimited data pack, compared to Verizon, Cingular, etc.
