Jan 23rd 2008 1:07AM The minor flaws in leopard are like the minor flaws in my best friends... i still love um, we all have our flaws. . . we learn from out mistakes and fix it...
apple's 10.5.(whatever) updates aren't as close as often as xp/vista's hotfix's and not to mention the random constant "you must now restart your computer in order to complete the installation of new windows updates" in the middle of a presentation in a one-chance teaching of a class with 125 students..
I love my mac it's not perfect ... and I can deal with windows... i know windows inside and out, everything about it and how it works, how to fix it when this, and that, and this, and this... and this.. happens. I use to hate macs... just because I thought windows was the hardcore way to go. I do a lot of tweaking and experimenting to make windows do MORE that it was built for and just make it the way i like it... but i ended up fixing my computer more than using it... along with all my friends and familie's computers.. etc.
i got a mac 4 years ago.
i'm on my 3rd one, not because the last ones quit on me, because they basically do... just work.. and do so much more even as a stock clean installation.

Oct 23rd 2007 2:04AM Yeah, totally.. on my pentax *ist DS (the model before the k100d)... it takes AA's ... but i love the fact that it does.
I have four 4 packs of energizer 2500mah rechargables got on ebay that last me sometimes more than a week at a time taking hundreds and hundreds of photos within that week wether i use the flash photo after photo at a school play or i'm taking constant action shots out on the track for the yearbook. . . My nihm AA's will work in most people's chargers when away from home OR if I'm SOL and forgot a spare set, run to the store and pick up a pack... its an incredibly power efficient camera with some damn good performance. I almost hate using the school's supplied canon digital rebels cause I'm so use to the practicalness and "it just effing WORKS the way it SHOULD" feeling of my pentax slr.

Sep 16th 2007 3:52PM My buddies use to come over all the time in the past and we'd have the best time ever watchin' movies all night, jump in the hot tub, watch another movie, etc... but as time goes on I just can't afford to keep up to date with the latest and greatest in home theater equipment so all my buddies now go to the "other kid's" house with the new 90 whatever inch huge screen and I'm a little bummed out.
