By the Numbers - October 2009: Green is Growing Edition {Autoblog}
Nov 3rd 2009 10:54PM "In the end all ricer nameplates are junk and should be stamped "Made in Japland" and sold only to the idiots in Canada and EU, they are not too smart there :-)"
Wow, nice buddy. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about, and managed to be prejudical and somewhat racist to, well, a LOT of countries. Way to keep the American stereotype right on chuggin.
In other news, seriously, why the hell is Ford dumping Volvo. They have stolen tonnes of tech and styling cues from Volvo, and now Volvo is putting up more growth then Ford, and nearly the same growth as Lexus. In an economy where you have a luxury brand actually growing (hell, even BMW isn't growing), does that not mean big news? Success? No, Ford?
First Drive: 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour goes down the road nicely... but is that enough? {Autoblog}
Nov 3rd 2009 1:20PM So basically I read this as mostly a failed product.
The styling is a lot more miss than hit, the interior doesn't differentiate from the cheaper Accord, the body style poses massive limitations on space and visibility (with no discernable styling payoff) and worst of all, Honda's legendarily good packaging is all wrong. This is not only unattractive, it requires people to buy the V6 and auto making it a pretty inflexible model all round.
My father is exactly in Honda's target market. He has owned Accord's for the past 16 years, and loves them. He is near retirement, loves wagons, likes towing things and could definitely use AWD (snowbelt!). Yet this does not appeal to him even a little, given both the appearance and failed packaging strategy (his Accord is a 4cyl 5spd, two things he wouldn't change about his next car).
Honda Accord Crosstour officially confirmed for Fall 2009 as 2010 model {Autoblog}
Jul 7th 2009 4:10PM My family has been a long time fan of Hondas, ever since we owned the original 1993 Honda Accord wagon, and this, along with most of their designs lately, is totally terrible. What the heck are you doing Honda? This? This isn't useful nor attractive! Plus the fact that you have basically cancelled all your diesel hopes and your hybrids are crap.
My dad is looking at getting a new car in 4 years, as is our Honda driving friend (who loves her 2001). I couldn't, in good conscience, suggest a Honda to either of them...not anymore.
T-Mobile Sidekick LX 2009 review {Engadget Mobile}
May 5th 2009 3:29PM I'm a little confused about the browser navigation con listed in the review.
Its been a while since I had a SideKick (of Hiptop as they were called in Canada back when they were available), but on version 2 the browser could use the D-Pad to navigate, and I believe also used the call and end keys as quick ways of scolling up and down. I can't imagine that that has been changed for the newest ones. Those combined controls work better than what my current Bold uses. Are those shortcuts still in existance?
Ask Engadget: Best BlackBerry handset right now? {Engadget}
Jan 17th 2009 1:56PM From a Bold owner:
None. If you really want a Blackberry, then get the old Curve. RIM's build quality and choice of materials is simply pathetic. I own the Bold and the cheapness of every surface on it makes if feel like it should be free on contract, which is extremely disappointing for such an expensive device. The trackball is a poor way to get around the UI, and the browsing experience is limited at best. Until they can improve build quality and navigation skip the Blackberry brand.
i-mate's rumored "Hummer" -- for when you absolutely, positively don't care what it looks like {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 8th 2008 10:56PM They used baby blue to express rugged? Well, thats where the problem starts.
Fido offers up Motorola's MOTOROKR U9 {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 31st 2008 11:04AM Alright, I'm kind've getting the sick of the "we're posting this even though we are too cool for it" attitude. Its really annoying. This is a good device for what it is, and certainly far more unique than most of its similarly priced competition. Or didn't you guys get the memo: endless motorola-hating/insulting was so 2007.
Rogers caves on iPhone 3G plans, offers up 6GB for $30 a month {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 9th 2008 11:11AM God, maybe all the Apple fantards I know here will stop their bloody wining now. You have no idea that level of bitching, crying, crapfits, and general acting like four-year-olds we have been faced with. Bets are, there is still somone out there complaining about THIS.
European 3G users break 100 million, 2G laughs maniacally {Engadget Mobile}
Jul 2nd 2008 9:54AM Keep in mind that just because you buy a 3G phone, doesn't mean you use 3G. I had two 3G phones that I almost never used in regards to that feature. I am not surprised by this information. Calling is still the best thing you can do with a cell phone, which is why is so shocking that their are a lot of phones out there that are not that great at it. Its also amusing that everyone picks on Motorola for not providing 3G with their phones, then we find out almost no one actually uses it!

Jun 30th 2008 12:56PM From Rogers? Not on your life.
Btw, could I get a detailed description of the process for activating a RAZR in-store please? K thanks.
