Oct 26th 2008 12:19AM Man. I'll take a G1 over the Instinct any day. That was a pretty dumb move.
Windows Mobile 7 pushed back to second half of 2009? {Engadget Mobile}
Sep 23rd 2008 11:35AM At least the new WinMo, PalmOS, and Android (at least on my carrier) being pushed back makes it easier for me to fend of the desire for a new handset.

Sep 23rd 2008 2:13AM I'll wait for some later, hopefully more robust, hardware revisions backed up by a more mature 3G network.
Good to see the first steps finally being taken.

Sep 20th 2008 11:31AM The usability would have very little to do with the use of Inkscape vs. Illustrator vs. whatever. The appearance can hardly be blamed on the use of Inkscape, and more on the designers. The same goes for interface design.
Judging from the others' commnets, you're spot on with the connectivity issues. After they get the engine of the best running 100%, it'd be due time for perfecting its appearance/GUI.... which could be done professionally using Inkscape.... :D

sorry... grammar nazi and bad proofreader makes for a volatile mix
man... if your band members are rolling your eyes... you should think about finding a new band. Unless you're GWAR... then it would make sense.

Sep 18th 2008 12:23AM There is already a JACK plugin that does this in the Ubuntu package repository... but admittedly, this puts said functionality into a much simpler form factor. Would be good for practice sessions, where you don't want your band members rolling your eyes while you set up a laptop w/recording interface every time. This way is much more discreet.
I'd consider it after v2 comes out and the old one ebays for half the price :D
....that is... if i still played music.

Jul 23rd 2008 1:20PM I sync at least 1x a week or so. sometimes a little longer, usually if I remember adding a contact or something. I keep most of my really important stuff (documents/pics) on my flash card anyhow.
Everything seems fine. Haven't tried the bluetooth improvements yet. Anyone find out if stereo bluetooth is natively supported now? That would be nice.
MyLocation was 1 street to the west of my actual location. Definitely good enough for getting directions when you don't specifically know the address of your current location + zip code... like when you're out of town just trying to find a freaking Subway. Could have used this 2 days ago when I was in KC.

Jul 23rd 2008 1:07PM the thing that scares me the most is that with automation like this in areas where safety is so hit-and-miss as it is... is that when something goes wrong, it will go TERRIBLY wrong.
Here, hopefully the redundancy and safeguards of the system are given adequate attention.
There are definitely ways we can use technology to improve flow of traffic... but it's a little disheartening to see that green right turn arrows are necessary for people to figure out that they can safely turn right when the crosstraffic is turning left. Admittedly, I've only run into 2 lights like that in my city... but it still made me a little sad for the intelligence level of the average driver.

Jul 22nd 2008 11:26AM I like fact that they show you where all the 5.25" drive bays are. I would have been totally lost. Where's the 3.25" bay??? .... oh.... there it is!
