Sony turns CDs blue with new Blu-spec CD standard {Engadget}

Nov 5th 2008 7:16AM @ silverblackvoid and Marko:
Come on, this obviously is not going to go anywhere. People in the movie industry are already saying BR will be dead in a few years. Do you honestly think making BR players "backwards compatible" with CDs is going to change anything?

Pandora pre-orders extended through the weekend {Engadget}

Oct 3rd 2008 8:58AM They never made a working prototype in order to be economical about the project. Instead, they worked on the analog nubs for $30,000 of R&D, the PCB shell, the keyboard layout, etc. I pre-ordered and I'm not even into playing homebrew or emulators.

Flash on its way for the iPhone (again)? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 1st 2008 9:34AM Adobe must have been working on Flash for the iPhone OS with the same mentality that they released Mobile Flash with CS4. Hopefully Adobe's attentiveness to the needs of mobile devices that we'll have a good working integration with Mobile Safari out of this.

Pandora pre-orders go live {Engadget}

Sep 30th 2008 6:22PM I just ordered one, and I'm not sure why. I don't play emulated or homebrew games. I'm not familiar with Linux, and I'm not a coder.

I think I'm interested in the CPU, for some reason. I owned a Dreamcast, and I have a DS that doesn't see much use. Maybe the idea of a handheld computer with a super long battery life and dual SDHC cards for the same price as a netbook is appealing to me.

I'm hoping someone will come out with something cool to do with the Pandora and the iPhone together.

Someone, tell me why I impulsively purchased this thing. I'm open to ideas.
