Rupert Murdoch to remove News Corp sites from Google, institute paywall {Download Squad}

Nov 9th 2009 11:39PM Not many people have made money by second-guessing Rupert Murdock, so it's entirely possible that he has something up his sleeve. Perhaps he's trying to get Fox News viewers off the Internet completely. We can only hope.

Otherwise, it's business suicide.

REPORT: Mullaly says global Ranger and Ka won't be offered in Ford's U.S. showrooms {Autoblog}

Nov 9th 2009 11:54AM Hear, hear. The current Ranger is sooo old, and is really too heavy to run with a 4-banger.

Yes, the Ka is too small. For me? No. For most AB readers? Probably not. To sell well amidst a market newly-flooded with mini-cars without cannibalizing Fiesta sales? Absolutely.

New iMac and MacBook touchscreens debut, thanks to Troll Touch {Engadget}

Nov 9th 2009 11:41AM Isn't "Troll Touch" an indictable offense?

The Tony Fox "Proud American" and "Bonneville Boss" Rocket Truck {Autoblog}

Nov 9th 2009 11:38AM "Yep, this puppy is fwd, 4WD, 4WS and OMFG."

Epic!

There's such a 70s-cool vibe to this, and the truck is beautifully executed. I've seen this before--likely read that original Pop-Sci article, since I was hooked on those back then--but I never noticed details like the vinyl roof and the opera windows(!)

That Toronado drivetrain found a lot of interesting uses. The GMC Motorhome still enjoys something of a cult following...

Nov 9th 2009 11:27AM I'm pretty sure there was either a toy, or a scale model version of this. Or both.

Nov 6th 2009 1:49AM Mirrors are not sexy.

Don't you remember Michael Sarrazin in "Gumball Rally", ripping the rearview off the windshield of his Cobra, saying "I don't care what's behind me..." ?

SEMA 2009: Mid-engined Ghepardo is one part Corvette, one part Camaro, 100% SEMA {Autoblog}

Nov 6th 2009 1:44AM Umm, yup, that about sums it up.

The front end's a bit messy, but aside from that the body actually IS pretty nice. I'm pretty sure that's not the interior they planned to put in.

C'est la vie...
