Fun rumor du jour: BlackBerry Bold coming to Sprint this quarter {Engadget Mobile}

Jan 5th 2009 11:50AM You can indeed upgrade to 4.5 without the loss of programs, and I believe at least the majority of the Sprint programs work. However, I downgraded back to the official 4.3 OS since RIM introduced a bug in 4.5 we refer to as "speakerphone blast". This is probably why Sprint isn't supporting 4.5 yet, or at least a part of the reason.

Virgin Mobile Canada lands BlackBerry Curve 8330 {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 24th 2008 9:21PM @McLovin:

Uh, how about push email for any of your imap email accounts? About the only other real choice in doing that is Exchange, and not everyone wants to use that service. I run my Gmail account on my Curve, and it works flawlessly.

I'm actually new to the BB OS, having just purchased my Curve last week. After a slight learning curve (no pun intended), I am appreciating the power, stability, and speed of this device. That, along with the much better battery life than on WinMo devices. Bottom line is that the Curve being offered at this telco is another option for people. You can't go wrong with choices, as there is bound to be something for everyone out there in the cellular market.

HTC's Touch HD gets very early review, called an iPhone killer in German {Engadget}

Oct 6th 2008 4:01PM I've always said that I'd demand a hardware keyboard, and feel even more strongly about it since I do own the iPod Touch. However, this HTC Touch HD would most definitely make me consider giving up the keyboard for the real estate and beauty of that screen. Looks to me like an awesome phone.

Sep 18th 2008 7:57PM I've always preferred a hardware keyboard, but I'd consider giving that up for this device. That screen is SWEET.

iPod touch 2G - first hands-on {Engadget}

Sep 9th 2008 2:50PM The older iPod Touch has a speaker? Man, is that where that tinny sounding beep has been coming from? Sure could have fooled me. How about a nice speaker so that you can share a song you're listening to with someone else. I get tired of having to have my wife's head butted up against mine to share my earbuds. ;-)

The Treo Pro makes its video debut, inches towards launch {Engadget}

Aug 19th 2008 2:50PM You get the low rank, Mr. I-phone Is I-sexaayy, because all you do is bash any phone other than the iPhone, not for speaking the truth. If truth smacked you in the face, you wouldn't be home to answer the knock!

Sprint's Airave signal booster goes on sale nationwide {Engadget}

Aug 1st 2008 4:23PM As one of those Sprint customers (yes, we are still out there) the $25 for my family to have unlimited at home access is cheaper than what I am paying A&T for the monthly, local dialing only, landline plan. And with AT&T, every time I get a heavy rain I have a noisy line to contend with. So, it can make financial sense.

The ironic thing is that if I decide on this service, I can plug it into my U-Verse modem, all the while disconnecting my landline service.
