Jul 18th 2008 10:37AM that is the million dollar question. i'm leaning towards GH as Red Octane are the hardware experts. but we'll see after some hands on impressions come out. and hopefully i'll find someplace to demo the GH kit before it's release.
i already prefer the GH3 axes, and the GH4 axes look even more kick ass with the touchstrip and a slightly larger size.

Jul 17th 2008 4:21PM this is good news. at the very least, i will pickup the GHWT disc for Van Halen and Sublime...if nothing else.
however, i still think the GHWT drums look better than the RB/RB2 drums (not the Ion's...i'm not paying $300 for videogame drums). so the million dollar question in my mind is will GHWT drums work with RB?

RB2 - Metallica "Battery" pwns GH and the whole new Metallica album.
VH/GH exclusive makes me a sad panda :(
That said, if someone makes drums compatible with both games...then I will buy GHWT and new drums.

The Gamespot RB2 preview said the new drums have the same number of pads, so any chance of the RB2 drums working on GHWT are out the window. If Activision is smart, their drums (which look kick ass) will work with RB too. Otherwise...no sale.
