HTC CEO expects to move 600,000 G1s this year, more in 2009 {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 26th 2008 3:23PM Hopfully the next batch will have tighter fitting back covers that don't creak, and a screen that doesn't hang lopsided to the left when you open the keyboard :(

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 unboxed, played with on video {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 13th 2008 1:57PM Nope... not capacitive; WinMo can't do capcitive -- the handwriting recognition, ink-notes, etc, wouldn't work (not that they work very well anyway). WM7 is rumored to work with capacitive, though not sure how the inknotes/handwriting will be dealt with.

For the user who felt the tiles animated 'just fine'; watch the video again, starting around 2:50 -- but -- this time wear your glasses :)

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 unboxed, played with on video {Engadget}

Oct 13th 2008 6:32AM Yawn... sure glad my T-Mobile G1 is about ready to ship :) The tiles are jerkily animated, and the screen takes forever to switch between portrait and landscape. MS better get going with WM7, this might generate buzz at an industry trade show, but it'll gather dust on the shelves of retail. It'll take more than that to get the average consumer to part with $1000.

Sony Ericsson's XPERIA X1 reviewed in breathtaking detail {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 25th 2008 3:02AM This posting refers to a 'preview', not a 'review'... quite a difference between a preview of a pre-production device and a review of one on the market. Thanks though, still interesting reading ;)

Zune and Flash Zune Coming Zoon {TMZ}

Oct 4th 2007 8:25AM Zune... iPod... they're both good, depends on what you want to use them for. The audio fidelity on a Zune is substantially better than a iPod... iPods are the standard though, more widely used. 6 of 1, half a dozen of another...

Xda-Developers to pull all ROM images next week {Engadget Mobile}

Feb 14th 2007 2:49PM What next? Are they going to also make them remove those software downloads that come with something called a 'keygen'? Ohhhh noooo -- people will have to start purchasing stuff...

Clean install workaround for Vista upgrade discovered {Engadget}

Jan 31st 2007 5:39PM You can do a clean install if the other OS is present, just select to do so after the previous OS has been detected -- the old stuff is wiped, and Vista is installed. The only thing that's missing is the option to insert a previous OS disc to proceed with a clean install.

There really isn't anything to 'get around'.

How to nab free T-Mobile WiFi lovin' without running Vista {Engadget}
