TiVo invades the hotel room, comes to Mondrian in South Beach {Engadget HD}

Nov 12th 2008 7:03AM I doubt they would block TiVoToGo... so yes, you probably can take your unwatched shows with you.

Verizon killing pay-as-you-go data plans, making other changes {Engadget}

Nov 3rd 2008 8:35AM There is an error in the above report.

The article states: "every new PDA / smartphone purchased on or after November 14th will "require a data feature / plan of $29.99 or more.""

It should actually read: "every new PDA / smartphone LAUNCHED on or after November 14th will "require a data feature / plan of $29.99 or more."

Old PDAs and Smartphones LAUNCHED before November 14 should still be able to use PPU and 10 MB add-ons.

The idea being, if you want to just text, you can still chose from the Q9c, Q9m, XV6600, XV6700, XV6800, Pearl, Curve, i730, i760, yadda, yadda.

Windows Media Center Gadgets for SideShow finally released {Engadget HD}

Oct 25th 2008 1:05AM Also, to clarify my last comment... I forgot to mention that Microsoft's plan changed when Windows 7 interrupted the Windows Vista lifespan.

Hence, Microsoft is holding off on the push for ISVs and OEMs to integrate the hardware. Also, now that Windows Mobile is going to have SideShow integration... the need for miscellaneous gadgets to have SideShow is undermined.

Windows Media Center Gadgets for SideShow finally released {Engadget HD}

Oct 25th 2008 12:59AM I wouldn't say SideShow is all-but-forgotten. Microsoft's game plan was to wait until about half way through Vista's lifespan to proliferate SideShow devices. SideShow is still just too expensive for the mass market.

The delay of Windows Mobile integration was a big setback, but that is now out as well...

I think that Windows 7 will be Microsoft's big push for SideShow, with Windows Mobile 7 coming with the platform pre-installed on all devices.

New NVIDIA hardware capable of more than Apple lets on {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Oct 23rd 2008 10:04AM Apple won't get the message unless savvy customers hold off on buying. I am quite happy with my current MacBook Pro, but Hybrid SLI mode would have me reconsidering...

Spy Shot: Production interior of Chevy Volt (maybe) {Autoblog Green}

Aug 29th 2008 7:14AM As I noted on Engadget, there are actually two competing versions of the Volt interior. I think that the other one that AutoblogGreen forgot to picture... looks much, much better than the one above.

Production Chevy Volt interior and exterior spy shots leaked? {Engadget}

Aug 29th 2008 7:13AM It's worth noting that there are two, competing interiors for the Volt. I think the one Engadget forgot to picture... looks worlds better than the one that is pictured above.
