TUAW Faceoff: iPhone Vs. Blackberry {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Mar 3rd 2008 9:37PM While it would be nice to have contacts automatically show up on your phone without doing a sync, I don't see myself really needing that feature... unless I NEED it, then I will sync right then (unless I'm on my work computer, then it syncs that night). Maybe in the future, Apple will allow .Mac users to sync contacts on the go, along with push email, instead of having Yahoo! Mail be the only push email service offered.
UNLESS YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED your email as soon as you get it, the 15 minute Auto-Check is fine (along with other users here, it seems to receive the mail much quicker than 15 minute intervals)
As for Exchange support, I have had very good luck with Exchange and the iPhone, along with multiple people that I work with. Depending on where you work, Exchange needs to have IMAP support enabled for it to work properly with the iPhone. Check with your Systems, Network, or Mail Administrator to see if IMAP is enabled. They will be able to provide you with the correct information to enter in on the iPhone.

It's not your father's Oldsmobile diesel: checking out modern oil-burners {Autoblog Green}
Dec 14th 2007 9:52PM Ray, in my part of the Portland Metro area, diesel is within 3-5 cents of regular gas (at least it was a few days ago when I checked). But I do agree with you that (well, at least for me) diesels make more sense than hybrids. It's a more proven engine that is much more popular in Europe and I wish there were more options here for diesels.
I wouldn't mind a Subaru Impreza or Legacy with a Boxer diesel. Or even the Audi Q7 TDI.
Also, we should start focusing on how we can make petrol burn more efficiently without using a hybrid system. I could be wrong, but I've heard that when gas is a vapor, it is much more efficient than being in it's liquid state.

iPhone/touch-Kindle Smackdown {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 30th 2007 12:11PM Good comparison, but when comparing apples to oranges, if someone purchases the iPhone, they will probably be replacing a current cell phone... which means they previously had a monthly bill for cell phone service.

Queensland, Australia gov't declines to pass free registration for hybrids {Autoblog Green}
Oct 22nd 2007 5:48PM Good. You're buying a car. Period. If there is a fee for vehicle registration, then all vehicles should be required to pay it. Complaining about not getting free registration because you paid over $20k on a hybrid was your choice, not the governments or anybody else's. You're paying the additional markup on the vehicle, then I bet you could afford a $15-100 registration fee.
Almost as lazy as Californians getting a pass to drive in the carpool lane with only one person in the car. This discourages people to carpool... the whole reason why they are there... but that's another topic.
