AT&T's Watson wants you to talk your TV into changing the channel {Engadget}

Oct 18th 2008 4:24PM Adding voice recognition to a system that already works and is simple to use, is totally pointless. I could understand if the current system needed changing but having a remote control and accessing information that way already works and serves it's purpose. "Tea. Earl Grey. Hot" is all very good and well on Star Trek but not needed in my house when my remote does the job. If it 'aint broke, don't fix it.

Oct 12th 2008 3:00AM RIM, Apple and Microsoft do not support Linux connectivity with their mobile devices. As Google's Andoid is based on linux, it's java-based open source applications will work with other operating systems and make it the first "true" mobile device.

If RIM, Apple and Microsoft don't support Linux connectivity to appease Enterprise users any time soon then expect Android to take a large chunk of the business market....

LG sells one million Prada phones globally, Prada II in Q4 {Engadget}

Sep 24th 2008 7:44PM If the LG Prada get's Android then the iPhone doesn't have a chance. Apple will not be able to compete with Android, with Apple's rigid rules on software created on it's platform vs Google's java-based, open souce Android. If Android is going to be successful, it needs to get itself on some good quality hardware (sexy phones) and also appeal to business for Enterprise use. If Android can take away business from Palm and Blackberry, times are going to look good for Google.
