Syncs text messages. MobileMe doesn't.
Free. MobileMe isn't.
However - I noted that synchronization is everynight or manually. MobileMe isn't. MobileMe is right when you change.

What Apple could learn from Palm's webOS {Engadget}
Jan 15th 2009 3:30PM With the exception of a few things - I'd have to agree with this article.
Keyboard - I don't need it. I like the keyboard. A good accessory or add on should be available though. One with a keyboard would be good too - but Apple doesn't and didn't make phones exclusively. They are new to the market, and it's entirely possible it could happen yet. Doubtful, but possible. (Though texting while doing other things is difficult. A Good Voice to SMS program would be good.)
Form Factor - I like iPhone's form factor. In Fact - Love it. Simple, clean, easy, and a good fit. No change needed.
Gmail? Just because Google has a different style than everyone else - doesn't mean Apple has to make it just like it. Apple has 3rd party development. Google is a competitor. Google has developers. Let THEM design an app to do gmail right.
Does that claim mean that G1 should have complete and full interoperability with MobileMe? What's good for the goose is good for the gander!

Jan 12th 2009 11:00AM iPhone Killer? I don't know. I don't know that it's that much of a game changer that it will make the iPhone obsolete and old technology.
iPhone competitor? Most definitely! I think much more so than the G1/Google phones. Yeah - they can still be added to and changed, but Palm has already done it.
What's better? The connectiveness, most definitely. The pulling information from more than one place. Also - running applications in the background.
We'll have to wait to see what happens when it actually comes out, but this is everything I had hoped the iphone would be, and didn't quite make it to.
It has a chance. It doesn't have the iPhone following. It borrows some things from the iPhone - so it's not as amazing as the iPhone was... but this has a good chance of competing BIG TIME with the iPhone.

Jan 9th 2009 10:10AM Sprint - Better customer service? Do you REMEMBER the letters? "Dear Customer - we give up - we can't please you - please find another carrier because we're cancelling your phone."
Faster 3G? Maybe larger - but not faster.
Better phones? nah.
Better coverage? Too bad they now lease that coverage. I'd prefer to be with a company that owns it's own towers.
