Virgin Mobile Canada gets around to adding BlackBerry Pearl 8130 {Engadget Mobile}

Aug 12th 2008 7:08PM Just bought this phone on Virgin actually. Runs pretty nice. $45 a month gives me unlimited texting, unlimited internet, unlimited calling after 7, unlimited email.

Only catch is 100 daytime minutes (which I'm working till 6 usually every day).

I did sign my first 3 year contract but meh, $10 a month if I want to get out is cheaper then $200 minimum

iPhone 2.0 firmware release date hidden under our noses {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Jun 30th 2008 12:47PM 1. July 11th is still early July. It's earlier then the midway point (15th). So I'd say that's still early July

2. Yes Apple is in the process of moving people to the new MobileMe website. Email is working now they probably need to work on the storage part and finish with the syncing. You're not fully integrated into MobileMe yet. This could take another 2 weeks.

3. July 11th is a Friday

4. A "few weeks" could still point to July 11th. It's just an added week + a couple of days. 4 weeks in a month is still "a few weeks".

5. I can't comment on this. Sorry.

I hate to criticize your post like this but the only REAL hard evidence you showed was number 5 (which has been removed).

Again though, I could be totally wrong on this fact as well. It would be nice to have it now. Luckily I got my hands on a beta version of iTunes 7.7 thanks to a leaked web address by Rogers Wireless in Canada (no links here...but a quick google search on Canada Rogers Activation Process should give you some results) and rumor has it that it will update your iPhone and iPod to 2.0 Firmware (Ziphone Blog). Can't confirm that yet though cause I haven't installed it.

As the 3G iPhone draws near, what's your plan of attack? {Engadget}

May 14th 2008 3:31PM Not fair. I live in Canada and it hasn't been released yet in ANY form.

There should have been a "Not Available Yet" option or else this skews the results.

Rogers gets Treo 680 {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 7th 2006 10:15AM "Just b/c your contract is a 3-year term doesn't mean you have to keep the same phone for that amount of time...I believe Rogers allows a hardware upgrade every 12 months"

You're right, it is every 12 months that you can do an upgrade on your phone (but you have to re-sign for a number of years)

I totally agree with all the above statements that the 3-year is highway robery. Unfortunatly with Canadians they would rather pay nothing up-front then $59.99 and have it for 2 years.

Thanks Engadget for posting my article :)
