The Daily Grind: Long treks and earned mounts, or easy fast travel? {Massively}

Aug 24th 2008 11:21AM travel powers were my favorite thing in CoX, they definitely made the game feel fresh compared to most other MMOs i've played.

personally i think they encouraged exploration, not discouraged it. there were many zone to check out, and you can make the zone more interesting with travel powers, ie multi level, etc...

EVE Evolved: Controversy brewing over removal of shuttles {Massively}

Apr 28th 2008 3:08PM they could also just... make shuttles nonrefinable.

MMOS X: A roundup of MMOs for the Mac {Massively}

Apr 15th 2008 12:34AM zouve, lol. i admit i had my spaceward ho addiction in the past, but i think the specs says it all: Clan Lord currently only runs on Apple Macintosh computers. The requirements are 32 megs of RAM and system 7.5 or higher. A 100 MHz PowerPC or faster is recommended.

MMOS X: A roundup of MMOs for the Mac {Massively}

Apr 14th 2008 3:56PM obligatory omg macs suxx and are overpriced crap comment (just to get it out of the way).

to be honest, if you want to game on a mac, bootcamp is the way to go. the few people i know who have tried Eve on cider have told me its buggy as hell, and all of them have gone back to bootcamp.

and any game in parallels will have awful performance (unless of 1990s vintage). this leaves you... WoW, as the only modern MMO on the mac. so unless you want to play WoW, do yourself a favor, and install bootcamp. and use a machine with a decent graphics card, not intergrated graphics.

The Daily Grind: Your favorite genre {Massively}

Mar 29th 2008 12:30PM definitely need more genres, fantasy is tired. history offers alot of different possible genres, i was just playing PotBS, 1720s naval sim (which is fun, but not very polished yet). a decent roman empire MMO would be awesome, western, WW2 (yes ive played WW2online) etc... post-apocalyptic would be great. im curious to see what the Agency will be like.

and as much as we need different genre, different types of MMOs from the level grind are just as important. Huxley could be cool, for example, as a MMOFPS (i would love an updated Planetside). im still waiting for MMO/Strategy hybrids to pop up.

Jan 8th 2008 11:06AM train up salvaging and tractor beams, and salvage your missions, and you'll make 10x what you'd normally make for lvl 1 and lvl 2 missions. and you can train up the connections skills and move up to lvl 2 missions in a destroyer pretty quickly.

Trinity 1.01 live on EVE server {Massively}
