Potent Quotables: Paris Laments Life {Spinner}

May 22nd 2009 3:32AM OH-MY-GOODNESS...Maybe not when you were a little girl, Paris, but every single thing you have done with your life in action, verbal, non-verbal communication, and simply the the girl dresses. She definitely asked for how she has been viewed. This seems about as honest as how much she learned about the Bible when she was asked what her favorite verse was.... I think that she is trying to turn a new lead, and she seems to have come a long way, but she certainly should have kep quiet on that comment.

LG's BD300 Netflix / Blu-ray deck ships on October 10 for $349 {Engadget}

Oct 3rd 2008 8:49AM The PS3's being built in the last year only use 120 watts. Having another IR remote port is not that important, unless you want it right in front of you as a show piece. DVD players don't do Folding@Home 18 times faster than almost all CPU's to help cure Cancer, Alhzeimers, and other diseases. DVD players normally dont let you stream video and music from your laptop, no matter where it sits (as long as it is connected via wi-fi or ethernet cable to a network). DVD players dont let you download demos, which is like renting video games for free, plus of course the PS3 plays Blu-Ray movies. My 46" LCD pulls a current of 240-280 watts (yes, I tested it), and most plasma's pull double this. I had to mention this because of someone commenting that the PS3 sucks up a tremendous current, when it only uses 120 watts... Just turn off another light in your house! Turn off a fan...something. Someone talking about it making noise in a cabinet... If you are able to hear a PS3 reflect any noise at all, either there's a problem with your fans, or you need to get it out of the cabinet. It produces too much heat to be locked up in a cainet, anyhow. I am no big PS3 fan, but when you compare being able to help save lives with software dedicated to stanford university, it is a blu player, and it does have netflix, and has demos, full game downloads, and even some of your old favorites from the Sega and Nintendo days, another Blu Player makes no sense. I have yet to own the 1st game on my PS3, but it does way more than I want it to do for the money in comparison to any existing, or announced as upcoming blu-ray dvd players. I've had it for almost a full year now, and it folds for stanford all day, and streams movies, music, and plays Blu and regular DVD's at night.

Runco lets it all hang out, intros seven new 1080p LCDs / plasmas at CEDIA {Engadget}

Sep 8th 2008 1:10AM Exactly! I don't know why these other cats in here are talking about buying a Plasma panel...still... After LaserVue is released, we may even see SONY and SAMSUNG have more financial issues than they can handle. They say, since the new LaserVue is releasing in this Quarter, that SONY and SAMMY may never get OLED out of the small screen sizes, and then have to close the doors on OLED. I had to comment, because I wanted to be sure that not one single person runs and gives that thievery'ish of a company. Mitsubishi is releasing something far better for far less. Yes, I know the cabinet is 10" deep, but next year = Smaller, and possibly cheaper at the smaller cabinet spec.

ATX proposes .car TLD for expected influx of in-car internet users {Engadget}

May 21st 2008 3:45AM Haha! I bet, man! I ordered an M3 in 2001, and it was killing me waiting, for it, but the reward in seeing the trailer with that thing in there, fresh from the factory...MMMMMM.... That's all I can say. I want a 335i SO bad. I am very Happy for you! You can get so much power just by plugging a little module in between the plug that runs to your ECU, and they can't read that it's been boosted. They warranty the motor, also, from what I remember. It's a lot faster than the new M3. You can pull off 11.9's on stock rubber, and the stock (Non M) differential. You are getting into Ferrari Enzo, and Porsche Carrera GT V-10 territory if you put a limited slip Diff. up under it, and some sticky tires. Anyway, Good Luck! Enjoy some driving on the new platform, for me, please :-)

Intel brings DirectX 10 to integrated graphics, NVIDIA says not so fast {Engadget}

May 7th 2008 1:41AM Intel just does not have as much experience with GPU technology, and the most certainly arent about to sell an awesome product with low cost. If it worked like a current high end GPU, Intel would probably call it Mt. Rushmore, and charge $3K, because it's their newest, and only integrated video mother board...

Sanyo's Superbright PLC-ET30L projector actually is really bright {Engadget}

Apr 15th 2008 4:44PM Why do some really low end projectors cost more than the high end? It looks like this unit costs about as much as you could get a unit for, that is displaying 10,000:1 Contrast Ratio, opposed to 1,300:1. Is there something special about the higher priced, lower contrast projectors?

Mar 6th 2008 9:12PM You need a PS3 for God of War 2, and Folding@Home! :-)

Modbook upgraded, now up to 2.4GHz, 160GB {Engadget}

Mar 2nd 2008 7:03AM Upgraded parts, but at least the early consumers missed out on the "Upgraded Price", or should I say "down" graded? I say tomato, you say tomato...Oh well, that phrase doesn't work as well on the internet.
