Jul 27th 2009 6:22PM I agree 100% with you on that...it took me over a year to finally settle on a MacBook Pro because of the crappy LCD's and bad viewing angles from just above every other manufacturer, particularly HP. I remember higher quality displays 5-8 years ago, but then again most laptops were $1500-$2000. I guess you get what ya pay for.

Jul 27th 2009 6:05PM Hey I saw one of these at Best Buy the other day and have to say that the faux wood texture looks a whole hell of a lot nicer than the oily smudges all over the HP, Dell and Toshiba laptops. I'm getting really tired of the glossy finishes that are so "hip"

I just signed up for Clear WiMax service here in Atlanta and get unlimited home internet *and* unlimited mobile for $55 a month for life. In addition to purchasing the home and usb modems, I picked up their ClearSpot box which let's me create a WiFi hotspot for up to 8 devices . This service will kill the cellcos once it goes nationwide imho.

Jan 9th 2009 2:30PM Um...power users that don't have $150 a month on a cell phone bill for a decent amount of minutes, data, and text messages. I've spent *half" the cost using the iPhone (EDGE) on T-mobile than I would be paying with at&t for the same service (1000 minute/unlimited data/text)
