T-Mobile USA down all over the place? (update: yes) {Engadget}

Nov 3rd 2009 7:54PM All good in central Florida, too.

DVR Viewers Watch Commercials, Help Ratings {Switched.com}

Nov 2nd 2009 5:40PM That is a very interesting idea, and probably true. Though, average consumers are used to VCRs, where fast forwarding through commercials was normal. So maybe they don't know about it, maybe they just don't care. Interesting thought.

As for me? All skipped. I'm actually going to spend the afternoon tomorrow setting up Media Center to skip commercials for me automatically. :-)

Android 2.0 ported to original T-Mobile G1 (video) {Engadget}

Oct 30th 2009 6:46AM This is exciting! If the hackers are able to do it, clearly Google and T-Mobile can make it work. This gives me high hopes that we'll seen an official 2.0 update for the G1 sooner or later :-)

FCC keen on commandeering TV spectrum for wireless broadband {Engadget}

Oct 28th 2009 8:10AM Forcing over-the-air customers into cable/subscription services will not happen anytime soon. After the digital transition snafu, you really think they'll try a more extreme version of that? Plus, I like my free OTA HD. :-)

Samsung Moment review {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 27th 2009 6:04AM Is anyone else scared by the fact that this is still running 1.5? If individual manufacturers have the ability to chose whether or not certain updates are pushed out, that leads to a pretty upsetting future. Remember back in the days of Pocket PCs? Whenever Microsoft released an update, you just had to cross your fingers and pray that your device manufacturer supported it. If they didn't, you were SOL. If Android heads down the same path...damn, I don't like to think about it.

Latest antenna selector is pretty slick, knows nothing about DVRs {Engadget HD}

Oct 23rd 2009 3:36PM This site is really cool, and as a user of over-the-air HD, it could be really helpful...but their information seems to be incorrect. I've worked at some of the local TV stations around here, and I know where their broadcast centers are...and they're not where this site says they are. So...I don't know where that error lies.

Slacker phases out hardware business, focuses on other devices {Engadget}

Oct 23rd 2009 1:20PM I have a Slacker G1 and really love it. But I can't honestly say I'm surprised by this. I'm sure they're seeing more business from their mobile apps than they ever could have seen with dedicated hardware. Once the Android app is released, I honeslty don't know how much I'll carry the G1 around anymore, since I'll be able to carry one device instead of two. That one device being my other G1, of course...confusing. :-)

Slacker phases out hardware business, focuses on other devices {Engadget}

Oct 23rd 2009 1:17PM Not yet, but it's coming. I've been waiting for the Android Slacker app for almost a year now. :-)

Windows 7 will (officially) work in Apple's Boot Camp before 2010 {Download Squad}

Oct 23rd 2009 1:04PM I've had Windows 7 installed on my iMac for quite a while now. I just used Bootcamp as is, put in the disc, told Bootcamp I was installing Vista, and away it went. Works perfectly. :-)
