Spy Shots: BMW V5 {Autoblog}
Oct 30th 2008 10:52PM Check the 22 September 2008 issue of Automotive News:
"Because of the decline in sales and a renewed emphasis on profits, O'Donnell has decided not to put any incentives on BMW's three newest cars: the compact 1 series, the X6 crossover and the M3 performance sedan. The X6 is so hot worldwide that BMW raised its base price, including shipping, to $56,325, up $3,000.
What has been the blow-back? Absolutely none, says O'Donnell. Dealers tell him they can't keep the X6 in stock. "
And your "calculation" takes into very poor account initial round-up, especially when the V8 model just went on sale.
They will likely reach 18,000 in 2009 easily. BMW is not allowing 20,000 to be sold in the U.S.

Oct 30th 2008 10:48PM What you are missing is the fact that due to the weak dollar, BMW decided to lower the amount of X6 vehicles that are destined to the United States and raised the price. Just do a very quick search of Automotive News databases and realize how BMW lowered the sales targets because X6 allocation to the United States was drastically cut down. Dealers can't keep the X6 in stock.
REPORT: GM merger would eliminate Chrysler vehicles {Autoblog}
Oct 30th 2008 10:03PM You guys are idiots.
Two times in one day you claim a vehicle is "slow selling," and are wrong. You guys have access to the Automotive News database. Instead of deciding what "slow selling" is based on your own observations, stop being such lazy asses and look it up yourself! The Compass is a slow-seller, the Jeep Patriot is not.
Idiots.

Oct 30th 2008 1:50PM Sales of the X6 in the United States have not been "slower than expected."
In fact, they have been so good that when BMW raised the price $3,000, nobody flinched. Go and try to buy an X6 right now...you can't.
Stop making stuff up Autoblog, it's pathetic. Do some basic research. The professionalism of your fact checking is akin to a 7th grade journalism class, if not worse.
Honda named official vehicle of the NHL {Autoblog}
Oct 6th 2008 6:16PM Honda and the NHL have absolutely no "relationship" through Honda Center. What kind of BS stuff do you guys constantly make up?
Honda has a relationship with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks, who own the management company for the arena.

Paris 2008: Audi S4 sedan and Avant, 333 hp of fun! {Autoblog}
Sep 22nd 2008 6:06PM The S4 Avant has always been sold in the U.S., and there is no indication so far of something otherwise.

Aug 15th 2008 11:02PM Why did you translate the prices to US$? That is so stupid and idiotic. It is a British car.
Y'all ready for this? Porsche Panamera will start at $127,000 {Autoblog}
Jul 23rd 2008 3:25AM The car is NOT GOING TO COST $127,000.
The idiots at Insideline - like the idiots at Autoblog frequently do - took a European report and converted the amount of euros to dollars. Of course, those morons don't realize that it doesn't work that way. With the weak dollar right now, a car in Europe typically cost as much as 50-70% more than a comparable U.S. model.

2009 Mercedes G-Class comes in for subtle revisions, more power {Autoblog}
May 22nd 2008 5:50PM You really have to question the stupidity of some of the things you write on Autoblog. Comments like "There is no word yet on whether the celebrity chariot will come to the U.S., but we're sure Britney really wants one." scream idiotic and why Autoblog is good for the headline and nothing else.
Of course it's coming to the U.S. - the United States accounts for half of G-Class sales worldwide. Why would you even bother putting such a stupid point into your article?
