ActiveSync out, Windows Mobile Device Center in {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 17th 2006 10:44PM This is the worst version of Activesync yet. It keeps you totally blind to what is going on.
It performs the first sync before you have the opportunity to tell it what to sync. Then it drops connection (like all prior versions) and ends up duplicating your documents. You cannot select a reasonable amount of data to sync. Microsoft decided you only need to sync 1 month or All of your e-mail. Too bad if you want to keep one year out of the five years in your mail file.

Microsoft should start using professionals to test its software instead of expecting betas to be bait for the masses who have no clue how to test it for free.

This is just another example of how Microsoft is removing features from its software and calling it an upgrade.
