iriver clix gen 2 unboxing and hands-on {Engadget}

Apr 30th 2007 2:26PM Juaquin, AAC is the "official" successor to MP3, so it should be supporting. and contrary to some people's beliefs, AAC is not an Apple format. Least MS and Sony have the sense to support it.

also iriver has never included FLAC support on any of their players. The closest they ever came to that was WMA-Lossless on some of their old chunky PMP's.

and crescentdavid, iriver has never offered gapless playback before on their players, and if they finally changed that I'm sure I would of seen them announce that or it mention on misticriver.net, which I frequently visit.

Apr 30th 2007 1:21PM The clix2 looks great, but yeah, the fact that there are still companies not supporting AAC is annoying, as is iriver still not including gapless playback in their players.

Apr 3rd 2007 6:44PM I have always been interested in subscription services and if Apple ever got around to offering one I'd defiantly use it with atleast my iPod nano. I've been considering buying another flash player with PlaysforSure just for this.

Go RED for less {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Mar 6th 2007 4:21PM yeah, I doubt Apple would donate another $10 for selling a player that was already sold once before.

Mar 5th 2007 8:01PM "Also, one really wonders why an iTunes and Quicktime update requires a restart in the first place."

Yeah, that was weird. but it only did it with my Mac. My Windows system didn't need to be restarted after updating.

Mar 5th 2007 7:06PM Would be great if the full screen cover flow was able to be navigated with the Apple Remote or if they integrated this with Front Row

HP 101: Top Gear provides false info on GT500 horsepower rating {Autoblog}
