Variations on a theme: the Motorola KRZR Fire {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 14th 2006 2:30PM "Fire" KRZR will be launched for VZW within the next few months. Count on it.

LG VX9900 (enV) to launch on November 27th {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 21st 2006 5:18PM Hate to break it to you, but outside of Pantech, LG, and Audiovox, there aren't many players in the CDMA game. Other than those three it's pretty much Samsung and Motorola, both of whom have been hit and miss with their CDMA offerings. And to my knowledge, VZW hasn't publically promoted this phone at all. Unlike the ad campaign for the Chocolate, there hasn't really been anything for the EnV, outside of message room fodder.

Details emerge on Samsung's U740 for Verizon {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 17th 2006 9:51AM This phone looks very exciting, though I am concerned about the durability of the dual hinge.I'll go ahead and summarize the comments of those who won't like this phone: "Verizon UI blah blah blah blah crippled bluetooth blah blah blah blah no obex blah blah blah no mp3 ringtones blah blah blah blah blah greedy blah blah."

Motorola "Norman" (aka Q Pro) in the flesh {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 9th 2006 3:30PM Definately a version of the Q Pro coming to VZW in the very near future. Original launch was supposed to be towards the end of this month, but as always when it comes to cell phones, that date could be pushed back.

Clearest pictures yet of Verizon's LG VX8600 {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 2nd 2006 4:30PM Is it pretty a given that everytime VZW comes out with a new phone that someone has to start griping about the UI? From a tech support and customer satisfaction standpoint, the VZW UI is brilliant. Does the UI have any impact on your ability to make a call? Does it have any impact on your ability to send a text message? No it does not. If you don't like it, dont' use it. There is no shortage of carriers and phones for you to go choose, that's the beauty of capitalism.

Verizon launches Motorola's KRZR K1m and LG's Chocolate, again {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 31st 2006 2:31PM There is most definately a grey and white KRZR, and the White Chocolate definately has the speaker phone enabled. Doubt it all you want, but it is true.

Samsung U710 goes both ways on Verizon {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 27th 2006 11:54AM VZW is a company, not a charitable organization. It's about making money, bottom line. If you don't like the phones or the service, go to a different carrier. That's the beauty of capitalism, you have a choice. Personally, this phone looks hot, and I could care less about not being able to transfer files via BT. Xbox doesn't let you take their games and play them on a PlayStation, what makes you think that spending 4 bucks on a GIN game gives you the right to take it anywhere and put it on any phone you want?

White Chocolate comes to Verizon just in time for Halloween {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 27th 2006 11:32AM It has the speakerphone enabled, the spec sheet is incorrect.
