Nov 19th 2006 12:40PM My school had a policy like this. If they see the cell phone, they took it away. You could argue with the teacher and they would back down. The theory behind the rule is "OMG ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION = DRUG DEALER" from the 1980s and pagers.
