Sprint Nextel sells off "nearly all" of its towers to TowerCo for $670 million {Engadget Mobile}

Jul 25th 2008 1:01PM I like the way engadgetmobile praises anything GSM/iPhone/at&t,while Time Warner cuddles up with Sprint. I have said it before, Cable/WiMAX is the network solution for the future. Watch how all cable equipment will have WiMAX chips in them, this will help improve coverage and while in your home or certain areas we will be able to route your data by the fiber network or the WiMAX network. Engadget embrace the reality and stop hating on your daddy jejeje.

Cable companies drop Pivot, break up with Sprint Nextel {Engadget Mobile}

Apr 23rd 2008 7:33PM Well this is a surprise to me. But just before the haters post, this is just a closing chapter. We WILL SEE Sprint be part of a venture with the cable companies OR SPRINT will be bought by the cable companies, they WILL push WiMax. Now as I have mentioned before on this site, WiMax is key to bridging the cable companies and wireless. They are going to deploy WiMax set-top-boxes,Cable modems, and PHONES, with this they will expand the coverage pretty much everywhere(hundreds of fiber lines available, they will just change many of those "amplifiers"with ones that have a WiMax chip in them) And lets not forget all the spectrum Sprint OWNS. Now lets just give them time the Bell have been changing to a "Cable"network(fios) to keep up with the Cable companies but they lack the penetration rate Cable has. they are not sitting around with no plans on how to TAKE the market, execution will come soon.

Comcast, Time Warner, Sprint, and Clearwire could join forces on WiMAX, help from Google and Intel possible {Engadget Mobile}

Mar 26th 2008 11:25AM Yes just wait for those WiMax set top boxes from the cable companies creating a WiMax hotspot from your tv to you cablemodem to your phones. that alone would increse coverage and cold help them channel data through the cable pipe and seamlessly integrate the networks creating the most advanced and robust ecosytem of applications. Just one example of this could be the ability to purchase lets say a song and be able to listen to the song on any of your devices. lets say you go to a friends houseyou you want to play an Xbox game but its at your house ,simple login with your Gamers Tag and all your content comes down the pipe and displayed on that system. they may be "underdogs" but they know what they are doing. And to thos fios users verizon has only been able to imitate a cable network, as stated above DOCSIS 3.0 is just around the corner.
