3 Mobile Web Apps that keep old Pocket PCs relevant {Download Squad}

Aug 31st 2008 2:58PM I am still getting lots out of my iPaq hx4700 running Windows Mobile 2003SE. Used it back home this weekend, used it on vacation all summer.

Opera Pocket v8.65 and MSN (using the phone as 3G modem over Bluetooth if there is no WiFi available), SPB for quick and easy weather updates and SCUMMVM for some of the best gaming there is to be had.

It is all good and I expect it keep up for another five years!

Jan 23rd 2008 7:34AM What is with all the hating on this phone, the design is a bit different and I for one find that refreshing. Also it's got OLED screen, 1gig internal mem and _matching_ headphones. Ultracool imho.

Jan 5th 2008 7:08PM While I like HPs iPaq PDAs and their laptops, their phones are abysmal.

Yeah right, this thing is going to last 12hours on standby or 5 minutes of GPS plus 3 texts.

Nokia teams up with an unfaithful YouTube for Nseries vids {Engadget}

Feb 13th 2007 4:54AM I think Nokia Video Center has to be installed on your phone in order for this to work, from the press release:

"Nokia Video Center will be available globally in the markets where Nokia Nseries devices are sold. It will first be preinstalled in the Nokia N95 device and thereafter in most of the new Nokia Nseries devices. Nokia Video Center will also be available as download version for selected compatible S60 devices."

Hopefully my N73 will be such a 'selected compatible' device..
