Oct 19th 2009 11:15AM Edmunds receives transaction data from dealership sales, analyzes it, and uses it to make predictions for sales and pricing. What's so hard to believe about that? If they know the prices people paid for, say, an Acadia in zip code 85201, don't you think they'd also know how many of them were sold? And when that data was compiled for all manufacturers, don't you think it'd be reasonable for them to predict a rise/fall in market share for a particular brand?

Aug 20th 2009 11:30AM I doubt it's going to be a production color - test mules are often wrapped in camo or a flat paint color to make them less flashy, but that matte black crossed over onto consumers' vehicles over the past year or two. I used to see them everywhere in LA, but now I don't see any. Kind of like the spinner phenomenon on SUVs a few years back..
