Nov 3rd 2009 9:47AM The next gen fusion (2013) will be on the mondeo platform, same as the new/current mazda 6. Since the fusion & edge are on the old mazda 6 platform, that would mean the fusion and, i'm guessing, the edge will grow slightly. My thought is that it will make room for a smaller CUV, which the kuga seems like from the pictures, to compete with the likes of the nissan rogue.

Starter will be available for netbooks. Home basic is only for developing countries (not the US). Home premium will be the mainstream version, and the lowest end you'll be able to get on most PCs.

We'll have to wait and see until the windows live movie maker is ready to ship. They're rebuilding it from the ground up. That's the version that's supposed to be available for use with windows 7 since WMM was taken out of windows and moved to windows live. Right now the beta is very basic. The feature set is small, but the new video rendering subsystem is in there. Time will tell.

Jun 2nd 2009 2:32PM They do that already. You can buy home premium, and then do an anytime upgrade online and pay more money for more feature packed versions. You get a key, enter it, wait a few min, and the rest of the features are unlocked. Home premium > professional/business > ultimate.

Jun 2nd 2009 2:28PM In reality, they only have 2 versions to maintain: x64 and x86.
All other SKUs are just mix and match versions. All the x86 editions come on 1 disk, your key unlocks the different features. Same with the x64 editions. Even then, i have a feeling that not all subsystems of windows 7 come in both x64 and x86 versions.
