QNAP's new 4-bay Atom-based TS-439 Pro Turbo NAS {Engadget}

Feb 4th 2009 7:04PM How do you get RAID6 requires 5 drives? RAID 6 only requires a mininum of 4 drives. It's just 2 parity stripes, so it's only 1 drive more than a RAID 5 array. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAID_6#RAID_6

Dell's 30-inch 3008WFP display to rock DisplayPort {Engadget}

Nov 13th 2007 3:56PM Eric - Yes, Single link DVI can run upto 1920 x 1200 if the display supports it. The 3007 only accepts 1280 x 800 if a single link card is feeding it (This is a 1/4 of the native resolution so it can just do a 4 to 1 mapping). The 3007 doesn't have a scaler so any scaling is always done by the display card not the 3007. I have ran single link dvi with my 3007 in a pinch a few times and the maximum resolution is 1280 x 800.

Cisco sues Apple for trademark infringement: ruh roh! {Engadget}

Jan 10th 2007 7:04PM Kevin,

Cisco has owned the trademark since 2000 when they purchased Infogear, who had registered it in 1996. I don't think Apple has been working on the "iPhone" for 10 years.
