Steorn's Orbo device exploded -- for dissection, not the apocalypse {Engadget}

Jul 11th 2007 8:29AM "You know at this point, their rabid self-deception and cult of believers investors are becoming just a tad creepy don't you think?"

I don't think their investors are creepy, I think the investors are highly intelligent. Any of those investors out there, contact me because I have a super secret device I can't even tell YOU about. Just give me the money and I gaurentee that I will get results when I am alone with the device (it won't work for anyone else and it cannot be recorded either or it won't work). I think a nice sum of say $100,000 per investor would be very nice for me, I mean so I could make my device work.

Come on people, he is a sam artist, and he really is good because he has a lot of people willing to give him money and others who are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

The Google Switch: an iPhone killer? {Engadget}

Jan 18th 2007 9:17AM Apple, Inc, has touted the Iphone therefore it is now OK to take potshots at it.

The Iphone looks interesting but there are other phones out there that do more and cost less.

Google has a much better reputation than Apple and if they come out with this phone, I will definitely switch.

Some guy offering silent ringtone {Engadget Mobile}

Jan 7th 2007 1:16PM While the length of the tone is extremely long, I can understand a silent ring tone. If you don't want to talk to someone when they call, just assign a silent ring tone to their number.

Parents file larceny charges over lengthy cellphone confiscation {Engadget Mobile}

Nov 19th 2006 10:51AM Schools are for learning. A whole lot of people got by for a long time without any cell phone so safety is not really an issue, it is a smoke screen. Also just taking the cell phone away for a day does not really teach the juvenile a lesson. Taking it away for five days does teach them a lesson.

School is for learning not for answering cell phones/text messaging in class while you should be listening to the teacher.

I would be willing to bet that this same student won't leave his cell phone on when he is in class anymore.

Cell phones are not a right, they are not a necessity, they are a convenience. They should definitely not be allowed in school (kindergarten through doctorate level classes).

BlackBerry And A Treo {BBHub}

Nov 11th 2006 11:54AM I was on a blackberry 8700, went to an HP9615, back to my 8700, to a treo 750V and now am back on my blackberry. I even had the blackberry software on my treo 750.

I keep coming back to the blackberry because it is an excellent device. The treo has a smaller screen and it wasn't quite as vibrant as my 8700. The keys are smaller and harder to use on the 750v also.

I keep coming back to the 8700. I hope the 8800 has the same dimensions and ease of use as my 8700 (I really miss a cell phone camera). If it doesn't I will stay with the 8700.

T-Mobile Customers Love To Text {BBHub}

Nov 11th 2006 11:46AM Unlimited text messaging is the key. When I was on other providers, I never used it because it cost so much. Now on T-Mobile since it is included in the blackberry plan, I use 200-300 a month with this last month topping out at 340. And my family does not use text messaging and very few of my friends. I would hate to think how many text messages I would use if they were all on an unlimited plan.

Text messaging is great. You can connect and get info very quickly and without all the additional social things you have to do with a phone call. I can get information that I need with 1-2 text messages that would take me several minutes to do so on a phone call.
