BlackBerry Bold 2 to be announced October 21 for T-Mobile, AT&T {Engadget}

Oct 8th 2009 1:17AM At first, everyone was talking about the Driftwood (T-Mob variant) having UMA, but lately the rumor has been that they'll pick up they Onyx as the handoff between UMA and 3G is less than stellar. This actually makes sense seeing as how T-Mo doesn't seem to sell any 3G / UMA phones

International Kindle ships October 19 to over 100 countries for $279, 'US' edition falls to $259 {Engadget}

Oct 7th 2009 1:40AM The Internet browser is barely up to par. It'll go to Wikipedia fine (and thanks to the simple formatting of the site, will be rendered in an alright fashion), but the browser is slow and thanks to e-Ink, browsing is a chore.

The Kindle is best left for books, magazines, and newspapers (I own a Kindle 2)

Sep 4th 2009 3:27AM "Probably because the Tmobile network sucks."

Hardly.

Their 3G network is not spread out as wide as AT&T's, but at least we can connect, go relatively quickly (hell, EDGE on T-Mo is quick), and not drop a call.

AT&T has the shittiest network of the big four. I'd rather be on Sprint and put up with their awful customer service than be on AT&T again

PS3 firmware 3.0 locking out knock-off controllers? {Engadget}

Sep 3rd 2009 7:09PM @DR House:

Your joke was too heavy handed and you pointed out your own joke (even though nearly everybody who reads Engadget would have gotten it).

I'm not voting you down, but if you end up Low Ranked, that's likely why

Zune software update coming September 15th alongside Zune HD launch {Engadget}

Sep 3rd 2009 6:22PM 1) Mac client.

2) Larger capacity.

I'm (almost) willing to give up the space that my Classic offers me, but I want an easy way to interface with my Mac– I don't want to have to boot into Windows to use a media player

Ask Engadget: Good input device(s) and user interfaces for the 'over 80 crowd?' {Engadget}

Aug 20th 2009 9:20PM Also, Universal Access (larger fonts and such) is a pinch to set up (though Windows definitely has the same features).

Does anyone know of any ports of XO's Sugar OS? That or a netbook OS seems like the best choice.

P.S. How's your law blog going?
