But I'm sure every company will follow suit. U know I'm not a Verizon homer. I just do what they ask me. I think its crazy to raise it but I'm sure it won't have a negative effect.

However - if NOT - then why not reward the loyal readers?

Apple is not a phone manufacturer. Sure - they happen to have a phone they sell - but they are not in the business of selling multiple versions of the same device.
They sell iPods in varying memory sizes and computers in varying configurations - but its not like my iPod is not going to work if i get the wrong version...

If I were Apple id pick T-Mobile...but I dont run Apple. My thinking is that they dont have to redesign hardware, test it, manufacture it...etc. with T-Mobile its only a software change...and some testing on an already working device and manufacturing doesnt change. You also dont have to keep track of seperate inventories as one phone could use either network.

I wouldnt say the technology is 'better'... just different. CDMA vs GSM isnt a battle that I want to really get into - to me it just comes down to preference. Like say a Lexus vs an Infinity... they both look good...do basically the same things...just in different ways. Its all a matter of preference. If most of the people you know are on Verizon - it makes sense to go with them...IN network calling. But if you have friends and family all over the place..why not go with whatever works best for you and looks good?
I have an iPhone for my personal phone and a Verizon Chocolate 3 as my work phone. [I know right?] and the Chocolate gets HORRIBLE reception compared to my iPhone standing in the middle of a parking lot in Tempe. Granted there are some places where iPhone SUCKS [UoP stadium for example] and the Chocolate has full bars...but I dont find myself at too many Cardinal games...I do find myself at home and work 90% of the time...and both of those places the iPhone has better reception.
