Jul 6th 2009 7:17PM To show evidence that YouTube HD videos do indeed run at 480p, I set my display's resolution to 1280x800, clicked the HD button on the video in question, and took a screen capture. As you can see from the link below, the video is not running at 1280x720, as it would have filled the display if that were the case. Setting the video run in full screen only stretches the image, it does not run it at the display's current resolution.

Jul 6th 2009 5:14PM Umm, yeah, I know to press the HD button. That's what expands it to 480p. Watching it in full screen mode just stretches the 480p signal.
