Sep 22nd 2008 10:55PM It's funny how you guys got that from TmoNews, and didn't give them credit. They posted it first. Don't be that hot for news, that you don't give the sources.
Verizon sues Time Warner Cable over some dumb ads {Engadget}
Apr 10th 2008 12:11PM The Time Warner ad is funny. But, when they say that Verizon has tv service, they are saying that Verizon only offers it with their DirecTV satellite agreement, not on FiOS which is Fiber Optics.

Cricket launches first AWS CDMA handset {Engadget Mobile}
Mar 8th 2008 9:31PM Um...Why do you get the idea that the 850/1900MHz band is native to AT&T? Verizon uses the same 850/1900MHz bands as AT&T. Only difference is the technology that each company is using! AT&T uses GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA on the 850/1900MHz bands, while Verizon uses CDMA/1xRTT/EvDO on the 850/1900MHz bands. If you haven't noticed also, Sprint and T-Mobile both own spectrum on the 1900MHz bands natively. T-Mobile added AWS 1700MHz licenses to their inventory list back in 2006. T-Mobile owns spectrum now on the AWS 1700MHz band and the GSM 1900MHz band, while Sprint(not including Nextels network) only owns 1900MHz spectrum.
So get your facts straight before you say why are they using AT&Ts bands.
Samsung's 3G SGH-T639 being sold by T-Mobile {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 11th 2007 4:00PM The phone has a sticker on the side that shows: "Powered by Qualcomm". Its a 3G phone, but isn't picking up the 3G signal since T-Mobile has not turned 3G on yet for the towers to broadcast in the 1700MHz band.
Samsung shows A517 for AT&T, T639 for T-Mobile -- both sans 3G {Engadget Mobile}
Oct 10th 2007 3:00PM This phone is indeed a T-Mobile 3G phone. They don't want to mention it due to the fact they don't have 3G turned on.
Apple facing patent lawsuit over iPhone keyboard {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 7th 2007 4:38PM But, just because a company appeals something doesn't mean they will have it in their favor. Look at what Qualcomm is going through with Broadcom. Qualcomm appealed and still lost. When it comes to using patents and not paying, things can get serious. Now all 3G phones are banned that were shipped after June start date, unless a specific carrier pays Broadcom like Verizon did to have rights to use the devices and services.
Apple facing patent lawsuit over iPhone keyboard {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 6th 2007 9:16PM Imagine if this goes to higher court and they order Apple to stop the sales of the i-phone, and/or force Apple to pay them like how RIM had to pay NTP.
US Prez upholds Qualcomm chip ban, Verizon snickers {Engadget Mobile}
Aug 6th 2007 9:10PM I think T-Mobile should follow Verizon and pay Broadcom since this could hinder T-Mobile's upcoming 3G phones that use those banned chips. Heck, all of them should go directly to Broadcom. This is crazy. Qualcomm is really going down.
