Twitter Pro -- $250 a year? {The Jason Calacanis Weblog}

May 18th 2007 7:00PM >400,000 a month

If only 25% of your followers use SMS alerts your account is costing Twitter a cool $3000-$4000 per month !!!

This model has no future.

Apr 2nd 2007 5:25PM I love the show, too, but in this one you offended the Taiwanese with your political ignorance.

We will see, IMHO these sites will develop to simple re-blogging sites that pay/employ a few dozen "users" - all others will only be allowed to influence the KIND of stories that are published.

I asked you before, what is the point in employing 30 people at Netscape to fight the gaming and fraud of the system?

How can this compete with sites like Techmeme?

And what is the point of using digg when there are already excellent blogs out there that cover your interests.

IMHO blogs and blog networks that offer more user participation are the future.

Dec 12th 2006 12:50PM Jason, why are you so "obsessed" with what's happening at your ex-competitor?

Sites like digg will not work in the long term, that is no secret.

CalacanisCast Beta 7: Dave Winer and Peter Rojas discuss the RWC Podcast player {The Jason Calacanis Weblog}

Nov 27th 2006 5:13AM Forget it Jason, you need scale to make money in the hardware business. Today, the chip developers are the driving force in the consumer market, they try to accumulate all the System know-how and then put out dirt cheap chips for everyone. If you do not have the scale of Apple you cannot afford your own development team.

What next? {The Jason Calacanis Weblog}

Nov 24th 2006 7:23PM Jason, I don't know you well but I already figured out where your heart is, it is with the entrepreneurs!

Just listen to your own voice on podcasts, when you are talking about entrepreneurs you always get an adrenaline rush, this is so exciting - for you and us, I love it.

It seems you also have a rare talent for hiring the right people.

Becoming a VC is too easy, you can reinvent the VC business.

Say that Jason: "Hate it or love it the under dog's on top
And I'm gon shine homie until my heart stop"
