Engadget's 5th birthday giveaway, part 1: win an Optimus Maximus keyboard! {Engadget}

Apr 14th 2009 7:27PM The official launch of the iPhone has got to be my favourite.

Even though I've barely used the, and wouldn't buy one, the thrill of watching the liveblogged experience was great. It was the first Jobs keynote I'd followed online too.

GestureTek brings 3D and gestures together for remote control {Engadget}

Jan 5th 2009 9:22PM I interviewed for these guys earlier last year.

They hadn't finished their instructional video on how to use one of their products, so they'd put Rickroll in as a placeholder.

Of all the places to get rickrolled, I wasn't expecting it in a job interview.

Nuvation shows off air hockey-playing robot {Engadget}

Jun 23rd 2008 10:43PM NuVation is pretty sweet.

They had a presentation on campus at UW looking for students to hire.
If only I was an Electrical/Computer engineer.

I'm impressed with them overall. Though their flame-throwing robot was a bit cooler than the air hockey one, even if it was possibly a bit less technically advanced.

Continental Airlines expands paperless boarding in US {Engadget}

May 5th 2008 8:46PM Air Canada too has been doing this.

As far as I know, its actually available throughout Canada. Even in my dinky little airport in Timmins, ON, you can use paperless boarding, though they just look at your screen and key in the number instead of scanning.

I haven't personally tried this because I've been too afraid of uninformed staff, I think I will next time I fly.

Continental Airlines testing cellphone boarding passes {Engadget}

Dec 5th 2007 6:02PM Air Canada does this too, but I've always suspected it would cause more trouble than anything.

I'm flying next week, so I could try this, but I'll more likely just use the self-check-in booths that never have any lineup anyways.

Virgin Mobile Canada gets unlimited data for $10, two new phones {Engadget Mobile}

Oct 15th 2007 10:10PM This isn't *WAY* cheaper than other plans. Bell offers it for $7, and Solo and PC Mobile both offer $5 (PC has no EVDO phones though).

The hundred gadget giveaway, grand prize round: Insignia NS-LCD37 LCD HDTV {Engadget HD}

Sep 14th 2007 5:55PM This would be a hot upgrade from my 32" SDTV.

The hundred gadget giveaway, grand prize round: unlocked iPhone (4GB) {Engadget Mobile}

Sep 14th 2007 5:54PM I was considering buying another phone, but free would be be better.

The hundred gadget giveaway, grand prize round: Nikon D40 DSLR {Engadget}

Sep 14th 2007 5:54PM That would be a very nice camera.

The hundred gadget giveaway: round 24 {Engadget}

Sep 9th 2007 9:10PM I could use the bag, since I forgot mine at home when I moved to university.

Engadget giveaways ftw.
