Sony Ericsson and Fossil team up for Bluetooth watch {Engadget}
Sep 28th 2006 12:26PM Guys stop 'focusing' on offf subject crap.
Back to the watch. It fills a missing void in our whole 'connected' lives. If you are walking along and you are expecting an important call (and perhaps there is someone you don't need to talk to calls you) all you need to do is look at the watch, instead of dragging the phone out of our pocket (or purse) to see who is calling you. If it is someone you do not want to speak with just ignore the call, otherwise push the answer button ON your earpiece!
About the pause/play; again you are walking along and someone wants to talk to you, instead of pushing buttons ON THE SIDE OF YOUR HEAD, you can just push a button on your watch and no one is the wiser.
TY TY
Gigabyte's GN-BT06T Bluetooth Media Adapter {Engadget}
Mar 20th 2006 6:08PM Great stuff, now they just need to add in video and wifi with a built in webserver page that allows you to access the various 'feeds' from a pc or pocket pc. Oh yeah and might as well make it a wireless router with USB support.
and add 100+GB HD to capture streams
I'd pay 300$ for the above...no more
IBM's Magic Block: voice recorder with speech recognition {Engadget}
Mar 20th 2006 3:09PM True, I'd probably get one.
I'm jungle rigging this as it is. I have Vito Sound Explorer on my PPC and with two buttons presses I can record into any quality MP3 format I want then I can move that file onto my desktop where there's another bit of software (forgot the name) that Voice Recognizes the file based on my Windows speech recognition files.
Downside is it will only do MY voice not ANY ones
If IBM does this, I hope they offer that awesome ANYvoice recognition as a download
Bill Gates has his say of things {Engadget}
Mar 16th 2006 10:02AM I agree with JC and slap the writer, Ryan Block, of the article on the hand. 'Bad bad bad' The day has come and past when Engadget was no longer in the 'blog' class of internet starships. Engadget is big enough, and making enough money themselves I might add, that there should be a policy in force where you have to disclaim your article as the thoughts of the author alone.
I can think of several reasons why Bill would be upset about the OLPC. One has been stated already, misdirection of much needed attention in the form of lil tinker-putes(OLPCs) instead of organized education and communication in those nations.
Another would be, who is going to provide support for the tinker-putes?
Bill, you just keep doing your thing. Most of what you do and what MS does is beyond the understanding of what seems like a lot of people. All they see is green and the need to rise above that level and actually see how MS has contributed to the development of the world in general by providing a foundation on which much of the progress is done.
Cheers for Bill!
Cheers for Microsoft!
Jeers for Apple, I hope a worm gets ya!

Mar 8th 2006 12:38PM All I can say is WOW
I hope BOTH cameras do video. A good video rate too not that 15fps junk out there now, and a good resolution as well. That'd be awesome.
Does it do my laundry too?
