Apr 20th 2009 7:46AM These solar doo-dads never seem to do much other than look good in press releases. LOL to the car battery!!
Engadget Podcast 142 - 04.18.2009: 5th birthday edition {Engadget}

Palm announces webOS SDK availability, Palm OS emulation for Pre, new cloud services {Engadget}
Apr 1st 2009 9:35PM I keep looking for the (more) link to get to the big news..
Will the developers get to hold the Pre -- or does Palm send someone out each day ..
Footnote in history:
Palm Pre - an ambitious device most noted for simultaneously sinking two formerly large corporations, Palm and Sprint, who unwisely and unfortunately hung large parts of their future on the often delayed and much hyped operating system.
Twitter integration could come to OnStar {Engadget}
Mar 28th 2009 8:54PM Does Onstar read emails even? If not, how likely is it that they'd add Twitter before adding email? Something doesn't sound right.
Facing App Store limbo, StarPlayr developers give up and go home {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Mar 8th 2009 3:38PM Anyone ever try to cancel Sirius radio? That's the biggest scam running. 1 hour and two internal phone transfers and maybe....
Too bad about uSirius/Starplayr - it worked pretty well for me in testing.
I don't think Sirius is going to stay around.
Palm Pre handled, handed out to celebrities? {Engadget Mobile}
Feb 23rd 2009 11:55AM Maybe they threw them in an uncontrolled setting because they figured celebrities wouldn't be able to figure them out.
Also could swear there was previous press somewhere about PRE being in celebrity gift bags (uncertain if this event) but only in voucher format.
T-Mobile's webConnect USB modem launching March 25? {Engadget Mobile}
Feb 22nd 2009 7:24AM T-Mobile. 3G. This is an early April Fools, right?
Half of my T-Mobile data in Connecticut is good old GPRS...not to mention that T-Mobile Wi-Fi is out of Starbucks (yes you can still roam but you have to know to sign on to attwifi).
Palm investor McNamee details Pre's neat location-based features {Engadget}
Jan 19th 2009 2:54PM Still trying to figure out what market the Palm Pre is going to conquer. Other than the press and geek crew, most other markets seem to be doing pretty well with what they have.
Email/Corporate = RIM / WM
Media/Consumer = Apple
Soccer Mom's = RIM
This device would have to execute flawlessly to come close to the type of carrier defections that Apple iPhone had.
Ask Engadget: Best BlackBerry handset right now? {Engadget}
Jan 15th 2009 9:49PM If you travel overseas and want to dodge roaming costs -- get the new 8900 on T-Mobile with UMA which will use Wi-Fi just like a cell phone signal. You won't have to pay a penny extra for the privilege (it just deducts your normal plan minutes). Though if you're a heavy talker, T-Mobile will sell you an unlimited Wi-Fi calling for another $10/mo. Just beware that T-Mobile has the wimpiest footprint of all the US based cellular carriers so if you're not into Wi-Fi then I'd recommend the BlackBerry Bold for it's 3G speed and Wi-Fi capabilities as well as update BlackBerry OS.
Palm Pre: everything you ever wanted to know {Engadget}
Jan 13th 2009 5:11PM I don't get it. Web apps under iPhone sucked but under Pre they're cool.
Um, ok.
