AT&T's 3G MicroCell tested and reviewed by Charlottean: yes, it works {Engadget}

Sep 23rd 2009 12:05AM No Land Line. I travel for a living and am usually home 3 weekends a month. The rest of the time, I am living in a hotel and out of a suitcase. Plus, no wife or kids. I even move around every few years so my cell phone number is the same as freshman college (9years ago). Since everyone knows it, no need to change it.

Why would a majority of single people have a land line?? I understand families with kids and such, but otherwise not sure why.

Sep 22nd 2009 12:26PM Yes, free calls.....with the $19.99 service plan. Then all calls placed on the Microcell do NOT use your minutes. I have to agree with the above posters on the coverage..I live in Boulder CO right next to the mountains. ATT is probably not going to beef up their coverage out here, so I dont mind the added expense too much. And with no land line, so this will be a nice addition.

Nov 26th 2007 4:48PM Haha, I love those questions. Now when I have to call Comcast about my cable service being out, I am sure to start with "Hello, my service is out, I have reset my modem, my tv is working fine, I have renewed my IP, send a tech rep out, thanks."

AT&T slaps Vonage with yet another lawsuit {Engadget}

Oct 20th 2007 8:01PM I just cancelled my Vonage service this week. I had it for almost 2 years but never used it. Lately people had been saying they could tell I was on VOIP because the quality was staticy (yes I adjusted the quality to try to make it better). I just figured I would rather take the $30 a month and put it toward my cell phone bill or save it.
