Why PvE has been, and always will be, the only real game {WOW Insider}

Apr 20th 2008 1:21AM This article is a joke to the point of being comical. Most PVE'ers talk this way. I suppose it's because of the massive amount of time that is invested in the game. First, I will agree that PVE offers better gear for PVE encounters which is quite obvious. However, you're looking at it from a narrow perspective and I'm thinking not a ton of experience with what you speak. Although, I could be wrong. For example, I'm currently using a hunter. He's full epic. He has a couple pieces of Vengeful gear and all the Vindicator stuff. He, also, has a few pieces from Kara. Anyway, I'm in large and extremely active guild who stick to the schedule every week. I simply stated the activity so you'd know that their are many experienced hunters in the guild. I usually place 7th to 8th in a 40 man raid and close to the top hunter. Part of this could be the fact that I'm BM spec and most of the hunters in my guild are MM, but the fact still remains that I do very well in our raid encounters.

I understand this isn't entirely the case with all classes especially tanks and healers. There are many pieces of gear that I would replace my PVP gear with but very few of which are Tier 4 pieces. I currently have some of them and I've done the math and they don't offer enough of a boost to make it worth losing the crit. The attack power increase is decent. The primary difference is the intellect. This principal drastically changes in tier 5 and 6 gear including the new badge gear which I want really badly. I just though I'd throw in my two cents.

Breakfast Topic: Faction Pride {WOW Insider}

Mar 16th 2008 1:37AM The generalizations are just stupid. If you roll an alliance or a horde character, once you get to 70 and either pvp or raid, you'll find great players on both sides. I could care less which side a person is on. A friend of mine is crazy about horde. He took a couple of 70's up on my alliance server and still hates PVP'ing b/c he has to kill horde and if they raid our town he won't attack them. It's really sad. I have horde and alliance characters and I play for fun. It's not safe to mix up your emotions too much with the real and virtual worlds. Next thing you know, you'll be 10 years older and wonder why you didn't hang our with your spouse and play with your kids more. Sorry this turned into a "wow will ruin your life rant."

Forum Post of the Day: Pray for the warlocks {WOW Insider}

Feb 29th 2008 1:51AM Nerf Warlocks! I think it's great. The most over powered class in the game complains about something

WoW Moviewatch: Summing up Valentine's Day {WOW Insider}

Feb 15th 2008 2:26AM I guess you sat around with your daughter and son of 9 years old and watched this video. "It's okay son, you kill things in wow."

WoW Moviewatch: Summing up Valentine's Day {WOW Insider}

Feb 14th 2008 2:59PM I'm very surprised that you would post the first video (I haven't watched the second one and won't). Somebody might lose their job over this. I wonder what AOL would think of this. I understand this is a blog but this site has gotten fairly mainstream over the past year.

Dec 14th 2007 2:09AM The PS3's framerate seemed to get pretty bad at the end of the video

Shocker: people loathe cellphone carriers {Engadget Mobile}

Dec 8th 2007 2:56PM It's true that you get cash off the phone for signing up for a contract, but it's far more complicated than that. Cell phone companies should give options. People are are unhappy not only b/c of mandatory contracts/extensions, but b/c of the over all pricing. To get text messaging, internet and a decent plan with enough minutes costs a fortune. $5 for this $10 for that, $45 for internet, etc... adds up real fast!

Build Shop: Hunter 41/20/0 {WOW Insider}

Dec 6th 2007 8:28PM That build is close to mine but I gave up the Best within for scatter shot. Also, I think efficiency is better than improved mark but neither are great. My build is used primarily for PVE so I used a few different points in the BM tree as well. Thick hide a no brainer and bestial swiftness is handy too.
