ThinkPad X200 $70 cheaper with 128GB SSD option, order now! {Engadget}

Aug 5th 2008 1:06PM I love thinkpads (I own 2 of them). On my last order for my x60 tablet lenovo had posted a c2d upgrade for 40 dollars I saw it and jumped on it. When I went back later to see if it was still a good deal it was completely gone like this one was(it was later put up as a 400 dollar upgrade), but when I called lenovo to confirm that it was still going to ship they told me that it was not supposed to be put up for a few weeks but they would honor my order and agreed if I could wait about 3 weeks for production that they would ship it to me overnight at no extra charge. All I have to say is I love Lenovo's customer service and and as long as they don't change the thinkpad lines quality they will have a customer for life.

Ask Engadget: Subnote or full-sized laptop for university use? {Engadget}

May 15th 2008 7:48PM I use my Lenovo X60 Tablet in class fits perfectly on the one arm desks also i see about 4+ hours of battery life out of it with the 8 cell battery. (wireless off and screen dimmed) The tablet is nice to have so you can draw those physics diagrams and normal laptop mode for taking history notes. As for note taking software Microsoft Onenote 2007 all the way. I have tried the others but this works the best. Import power points and then annotate them. The 12 inch screen isn't bad to use, I have a 17 inch laptop that I can not take anywhere because at 10 pounds and 30 minutes of battery life its a desktop for me. My room mate has the hp tablet and it is horrible the digitizer is much like pdas so it is pressure sensitive, whereas the thinkpads have wacom screens and no battery life and is hot as hell on the lap. My thinkpad stays cool all day long.
