You may have to wait a while to get a 2010 Ford Fusion hybrid {Autoblog Green}
Nov 8th 2008 9:40AM I don't think it's very reasonable. Why can't they sell the older models at a discount, and continue producing the new hybrid models which will undoubtedly sell at a higher price and help the company's image? I don't get it.
Toyota cuts spending, increases hybrid development {Autoblog Green}
Nov 8th 2008 9:36AM Yeah this article is absolutely right. This disaster for the Big 2.5 was a loong time coming. It might not get better, either. I would imagine car companies of the future will be much smaller, producing electric and or hybrid vehicles with a lot of the components outsourced to smaller contracting companies.
iTunes 8 causes Windows Vista BSOD {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}
Nov 4th 2008 12:30AM iTunes 8 is very buggy on my Vista laptop, I've just downloaded the Zune software because I'm sick of trying to use the slow and stuttering itunes - it would take forever just to add podcasts and songs to the ipod - I'll probably buy one of the new small 8 gb Zunes soon to replace my old ipod. Apple you've lost a good iTunes customer with that crap Windows version.
POLL: 2009 Green Car of the Year finalists announced {Autoblog Green}
Nov 1st 2008 6:22PM Wow I had not seen a picture of that Ford Fusion hybrid, looks great - and I'm pretty picky!
Chrysler vehicles could be attrition fodder if GM merger goes through {Autoblog Green}
Nov 1st 2008 6:16PM My best guess is they're going to continue to make subpar product that most consumers don't want. Then they'll fire more blue collar workers because "consumer demand is down". Eventually most new models will be outsourced to China and then shipped here and profits will revive. After this stops working GM will buy Ford and repeat. The only sure thing is that most of the white collar executives at GM will retire on big yachts with loads of money.
Chrysler's Jim Press says Phoenix V6 engine still on {Autoblog Green}
Oct 25th 2008 10:34PM Yes, I agree, these V6 engines would have been a great idea six years ago but right now they're going to be redundant when Chrysler gets bought.
And hey, not to be too optimistic, but the future is electric engines and lithium ion battery stacks, not V6 oil burners.
Magna says it's on track for a developing an electric car by 2010 {Autoblog Green}
Oct 25th 2008 10:27PM I would gladly buy one as well. For some reason I have so much more faith in this company making an electric car happen than GM and their Volt publicity stunt...
Ouch. Ford truck sales drop 39.5 percent in September {Autoblog Green}
Oct 1st 2008 10:40PM They need to stick a turbo four diesel or V6 diesel in one of their trucks. Instant 30% mileage bump. Such a no brainer.
Galley Gossip: What is RIGHT with the airlines? (There's got to be something!) {Gadling}
Sep 25th 2008 12:48PM I think most people I've talked to have a problem with security more than with airlines or their personnel. A 2 hour security line at LAX because the TSA is doing full body searches of 80 year old grandmas and women with babies is just not right. It puts the traveler in a negative frame of mind before they get anywhere near the plane, to have to wait for long periods of time while clearly harmless people are subjected to elaborate searches. The current security procedures are very frustrating.
I think pilots and stewardesses do work hard and I always make an effort to be polite.
Spy Shots: 2010 Ford Mustang totally revealed - base V6, GT500 and interior {Autoblog}
Sep 19th 2008 12:52AM I don't see how it's different. I also meh. Give it a hybrid option and then I'll get all hot and bothered.
Otherwise it's just another dinosaur.
